The simple fact that Curry is playing better than he ever has and all people comment on is his downside shows the hatred. The simple fact that Curry is playing better than most the guys on the team and all some posters can focus on is bashing him instead of other players shows the hatred.
I think a lot of the hatred is Isiah related. It is rare to see a Curry hater that doesnt hate Isiah as well. People hate Curry for a trade Isiah made. How illogical is that? Curry didnt make the trade. Isiah did. All we see from Curry is our leading scorer, 2nd leading rebounder, a 54% shooter and a guy that unlike many Knicks is working to improve his game.
I LOVED how Curry just exploded in the 4th, speaking as a fan of the Raptors, Curry looked well, scary I think is the word. Or Shaq-like Curry: 19.1ppg-7.3rpg-58%fg

Simply put: We want to win. The hating goes away when things change. So far it's been six years of different flavors of the same thing.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Have you seen the rest of the guys on our team? Because Curry happens to be our second leading rebounder says little about him and a lot about the state of the Knicks.

Enough with this "hater" garbage. There are tons of problems with Curry's game. Pointing them out doesn't make anyone a "hater"

I'm not even reading your post. You just took a dig at me from a discussion in another thread. Look in the mirror before you accuse someone of something, Mr. Sensitive. Thanks.

grouping me in w/those "idiots" you were referring to in another thread & telling me to "STFU" is a little different than bringing up something you yourself said in another thread, wouldn't you say? you're asking me to tell you how building around Curry is a sound plan of action when you're saying you'd rather have Erick Dampier because he helps his team win games... i think that was a fair point to bring up in this discussion when you're bashing Curry for not making his teammates better... the sarcastic tone i'll apologize for, but i think you're the one being combative on this thread, not me... i would've thought after all the years of posting together that we could have a heated debate w/o you holding your ears shut because i made a sarcastic comment.

Substitute "marbury" every time you say "curry" and you'll have the exact type of post I've been reading for 3 years.

Wow, it's funny how you can read a post, pick out a few words and make it into something else. Not at all what was said. Curry is very much a symptom of our past problems. Nothing has changed. We have another false savior, if not Houston, Sprewell, Camby, McDyess, Marbury, Francis... it's Curry. The only success we've had in the last 20 years is building around a superstar in Ewing. We don't have that, and we've made no steps to acquire it, thus we will continue to sink in mediocrity.

Again, you take it as people hate Curry. We don't. We want Curry to succeed, but we also face reality that he's not leading us where we want to go, so either suppliment him or ship him out, because Curry alone does not bring us where we want?

Understand now?

That's why I said Curry's 20pts vs Marbury's 20pts/8ast

I did NOT. You attacked Isles who NEVER targetted you, and then I simply said that I thought Isles was justified in using the word. That was NOT calling you an idiot. You just attacked someone for no reason and I again I simply said I thought he was okay for using the word.

telling me to "STFU" is a little different than bringing up something you yourself said in another thread, wouldn't you say?

That happened AFTER you brought up Dampier again, which you purely did just as a dig. You think Dampier sucks, we get it. I never said he was my ideal player, just was going for someone who isn't a top rate center, who I would prefer over Curry, to show where I place Curry. Move on.

the sarcastic tone i'll apologize for

Then let's just stop it right here. I'll apologize for saying STFU. The idiots comment wasn't directed at you, so I don't see anything to apologize for on that one. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Can we have a day on this board where the word "hate" or "hater" is not allowed?

Just once in my life I'd like to see what a basketball discussion would be like without such low common denominator retorts. People might have to actually put some thought into their arguments.

These are the centers listed on the all star ballot from our conferance. Maybe instead of hating on Curry maybe we should be happy we have him and be happy he is progressing.

Well this is the group of Centers on the ballot. I think EC has a chance. A long shot but still a chance.

Andrew Bogut, Milwaukee
Primoz Brezec, Charlotte
Eddy Curry, New York
Samuel Dalembert, Philadelphia
Dwight Howard, Orlando
Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Cleveland
Nenad Krstic, New Jersey
Nazr Mohammed, Detroit
Alonzo Mourning, Miami
Shaquille O’Neal, Miami
Zaza Pachulia, Atlanta
Ben Wallace, Chicago

i don't think i was attacking anyone... i was saying that labeling people as "idiots" for even supporting anything Isiah's done as Knicks' GM was stupid & uncalled for... & it really doesn't matter if he or you didn't target me specifically, the statement groups me in w/all the others because personally i've never had a problem w/the draft choices Isiah's made... it's the same as saying "anyone who bashes Isiah for making the Eddy Curry trade is an idiot"... obviously you're going to consider yourself labeled under that statement, & i don't think you'd take very kindly to it either.

again, i think throwing these stupid insults around just because someone has a differing opinion than your own is ridiculous... that's the type of crap you'd expect on a garbage forum like Big Apple Sports... you of all people i would expect to agree w/me on that one.

Sometimes its called for but I will just stop replying for today. Bash away at Curry. Its not worth even discussing. Even though Curry was not defending the 3 point line last night but you all are right. Curry sucks. Curry is the worst center in the NBA. Curry cost us the win last night. Curry should be cut today. Happy? :)

Nope because you can only be concerned with what you have and not comparing it to other things to validate or be joyous over. That's like in a marriage relationship a woman named Linda is married to a man named Joseph, who does nothing but get up and go to work everyday and Linda complains of needing help in other areas of the relationship and his retort to her is shut up hater/nagger/bitch because I could be beating your face to a pulp like Bob does his wife.

I've made 3 Threads a several post. I'd wager you've made at least the same amount of threads and definitely far more post on him than I have. I thought you were going though.
