No, he starting because he is a better player and has more upside than Lee..And Let's not start with Lee's defense or lack of it...

Tell me one thing that Frye does better than Lee besides shooting?

blocking and altering shots? (I still like Lee more overall, though.)

wow! Why are you assuming the worst? Who can tell Curry will definitely suck? I don't want to mess up his rhythm but go easy on the crack pipe.

Tell me one thing that Frye does better than Lee besides shooting? He does nothing better and just because he was drafted in the lottery and Lee wasn't does not make him a better player than Lee. Frye needs the ball to be effective on the court and Lee doesn't. Lee scores nearly as many points all the while not needing the ball in his hands to do so and rebounds much more then Frye does or ever will.

You have an infatuation with draft # because I know for a fact if Lee was the lotto pick you'd be saying the same exact thing about him that youre saying about Frye

And let's not start with Frye's defense or lack of it...

Bro, I know you like Lee but you can't base a season's work on 5 or 6 games...Frye gets the shot because he was stellar last season when he was healthy...He show signs of being a special player...That should be enough reason that a Knick fan would want to give him a shot..

I love how you sprinkle your posts with things like "a knick fan would give him the opportunity." A KNICK FAN would want this team to win games and right now this team's best bet is to have Lee start if they want to win games.

This has nothing to do about liking a player, I could care less who the guy is, I want the best players to start. Frye is not a better player then Lee right now and Frye doesn't fit in the starting line up either.

This has everything to do with liking a player because if you watch the last game you would see Lee basket hanging at least 4 times as Jamison spot up for a three that they weren't missing last night..Aren't you the guy that preaches defense to no end??

Yes you're right but what you're wrong about is the fact that you think Channing would have been out there defending Jamison when Frye is a proven bad defender(worse than Lee,) especially against guys like Jamison. Yes Lee didn't have a good game but the fact is he's a better a better rebounder and a better defender than Frye is. Eddy Curry also just went on a scoring AND rebounding streak while playing next to David Lee because Lee's hustle and movement down low are a much better fit for Eddy than than Fryes is.

Admit it, you're a Isiah Thomas and Channing Frye fan more than a Knick fan.

If Lee is such a horrible defender, I think he is average and will get better, then why did he play every fourth quarter when Channing was healthy? Has Frye been on the floor in the 4th quarter this year? Holfresh you can argue that Frye is a better defender because there isnt a stat for that. Every other stat Lee is beating Frye. Both guys have a lot to work on when playing defense but to say Frye is a better defender is crazy

I partly agree with Hol here. I think 2 months ago 90% of the board, including me, would have said Frye was the better player. I'd like to see more than one-fifth of a season before changing my view. (If the question is who has started this season better, Lee is obviously the answer, though.)

i was on board halfway into the season last year as saying i'd rather trade Frye than D Lee, & that opinion hasn't changed... not that D Lee was the better player at that point, but i liked the intangibles that he brought & always thought he was the type of player we needed to hold onto.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.
