IF we were going to pick up Ray Allen who seems like a natural fit with Currys inside dominance I still would try to move one of our bad contracts back to Seattle. Ray is 31 and his deal is one year longer than Franbury

No way Seattle takes a bad contract, they're going to want to cut costs. I'd be willing to trade Marbury + Frye for Ray Allen, as we have no shot of being under the cap for 6 years anyway (our sophmores are going to cost us big $$$ when they're free agents, despite how downplayed it is on this board).

LOL no offense but if Seattle wont take back any bad contracts why propose Marbury when he is the worst contract on our team?

I LOVED how Curry just exploded in the 4th, speaking as a fan of the Raptors, Curry looked well, scary I think is the word. Or Shaq-like Curry: 19.1ppg-7.3rpg-58%fg

My phrasing may have been a little ambiguous. What I meant is as that they're not going to take back a *longer* contract that one we give. They take Marbury for Ray, because Marbs has a year less, plus they get a young prospect (Frye).

Sorry for the confusion.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

I wouldn't trade either Craw or Frye for Wilcox (who has dogged it for 3.5 of his 4 year career).

Here's an idea: stand pat.

seattle should only trade hihgly paid vets, and only for short contracts. I dont see why they would have to trade guys like wilcox or ridnour at all.

If Isiah wants him he better act fast and covertly because if Pax heard we were getting Ray Allen he would jump in just trying to protect that right to swap

As long as Marbury is here, it won't work.

The Knicks are rebuilding and need to continue. Trades for Ray Allen involving our younger players will help us short term, but won't be enough to make us contenders.

might be true but mediocrity will not make us contenders either because we will never have high lottery picks and cap room

Ray Allen would be nice, but only if we can ditch either Marbury or Francis.

I don't know about Jesus Stuttleworth. He's a sniper, yeah, but he won't help our perimeter defense issues.

Having Rose and Taylor's expiring contracts might have helped to land one of those guys.

But Dolan cut Isiah's allowance, and Isiah just had to do what he told Larry he could not.
