did anyone notice Primoz Brezec (5.8 a game) shot 8-14 and scored 21 on Curry?

Someone let me know how scoring on one end, then letting your man score on the other impacts the game.

I was disgusted w/ Curry's effort on D last night. Bonn, Silver, Guns, Marv, DJ... they all saw it. It was almost hard to believe how bad it was.

Not all of Brezacs points were on Curry so its disingenious to say they were. That is on Isiah. Some were on Curry, some were on frye, some were on Cato and some were on the zone. Ofcourse our perimeter player Frye should have started out on Bresec. Curry played Okefor instead in the second half (both inside players) and Curry handled Okefor just fine offensively and defensively. You dont ask Shaq, nor Curry to go out to the top of the key to play jump shooters nor Frye to bang in the post. Once Isiah made the switch we dominated. By the way Brezec scored 21 on 14 shots. Curry scored 29 on 15 shots. Does 21=29 in your eyes? Brezec fouled out in 28 minutes. Curry played 46 minutes!

We have played well in the last month with Curry playing very well. We are 7-8 with Curry averaging 23-8. We were 4-9 before Curry came around. Having a dominant post pressence is huge. The game has opened up tremendously for all our other players. Frye was wide open all night

yea, that was driving me nuts. But the announcers even noticed it. That average to bad offensive players have their season best or career best numbers vs the knicks. Primo, even Gerald wallace was WAAAAAAY above average. Curry doesn't contest Jumpers, and never seems to contest guys driving right down the middle, in his face...

dont tell me how many minutes Curry played, because his defense was the worse in the first and second qtrs.

When he was playing well in the 2nd half I turned to Guns and Silver and said maybe he's pacing himself.

SugarRay... that wasnt a zone. That was just not bothering to guard your man.

Also on Curry were 3 of the 4 Gerald Wallace dunks. Curry was in the paint and just watched the balls fly to the rim with his feet cemented on the ground.

Eh.. I supposed I should just look at his scoring and pretend he's becoming a great BB player, but I dont think he is.

Wallace dunks were not Curry fault. They were fast breaks off made and missed shots and Curry wasnt even on the floor on 2 of them so I dont know how 3 of 4 were on Curry. Lee was the one that wasnt keeping up with Wallace off the made baskets. Curry is battling under the bobcats hoop and he is supposed to beat a wing perimeter player down the floor that isnt even his man? Sure whatever you say. LOL :)

How many guys should Curry be guarding with nobody else responsible? Brezec? Okefor? Wallace? Felton? Are there any other guys on the court or just Curry?

You know what? curry sucks. curry is fat. Mo Taylor is better than Curry. Whatever you want to say in your Curry hating I agree with. Better? LOL :)

those were NOT fast breaks. And Curry had opportunities to break those plays up. No he wasnt guarding him. When you camped in the paint I thought you were allowed to contest any shot from there, especially dunks.

I was at the game. I watched Curry not move time and time again. I watched him not rotate, not move his feat, not come out to guard his man.

Maybe this wasnt as obvious on TV.

The guy is the worst defensive player I think I have seen. Most possesions he simply doesnt try.

Gerald Wallace didnt have 2 fast break dunks? Wow the view at the game must be different than on TV then. I could have sworn I saw Wallace beat everyone down the court of a Eddy Curry missed ft for a dunk as well as off a defensive rebound off a Jcraw miss for a slam dunk. All within a couple of minutes. My bad.

By the way why arent you bashing Okefor for letting Curry dominate him offensively? Or does the hate only work in 1 direction?

That goes for all positions not just Centers. In fact Centers usually dont have great numbers vs us. Point guards do. Then again when Damon Jones is hitting 35 on 3 pointers Curry gets the blame as well. LOL. :)

By the way did Okefor have an abover average scoing night at 11 points? Curry guarded him most the 2nd half.

Do you think Curry is a decent defensive player? Do you think he gives enough effort? Rather than being sarcastic say something. I see him loaf and simply not give good effort, especially when I go to games and watch him away from the ball. Maybe he just doesnt know how to play the game. What do you see?

I see him as a below average defensive center at this point and an abover average offensive cneter. I see him outscore other teams centers in 80% of the games. I see him play better defensively when he doesnt pick up early fouls. Once he picks up fouls he gets overly cautious.
I see you look to bash him regardless of how he plays. I see him score 29 last night. Many on one of the best defensive centers in the NBA. Instead of bashing Okefors defense you ignore that.

I see our team going 7-8 in the last month with Curry producing 23-8 while we were only 4-9 the previous 13 games.

Our team is weak all over defensively. Curry isnt the only one. we dont really have any good defensive players outside of Jeffries who is awful offensively. Thats why you have to mix and match and try to stress the positive and hide the flaws just like Kenny Smith said. There are plenty of guys that have problems on defense. Patrick even had problems defensively his first 4 years. If Curry had some perimeter defenders his flaws would nto stand out so much. Also Curry isnt our only big that should be protecting the paint. We also win the battle of the paint almost every single night

sugarray, i know you like curry. and he has played much better than i anticipated in the offensive side of the ball over the past 3-4 weeks. but no lie, the guys defense is absolutely horrid. he's standing around watching most of the time. it's pretty disgusting to see. i'm not sure how it translates on tv, but watching it live, it kind of makes you sick and forget about the alleyooops and the dunks he gets on the other end.
