I like TJ a lot but he is mostly a penetrator. I think we need a real good outside shooting pg that can lock down on defense instead. :)
I LOVED how Curry just exploded in the 4th, speaking as a fan of the Raptors, Curry looked well, scary I think is the word. Or Shaq-like Curry: 19.1ppg-7.3rpg-58%fg

i liked the trade for Milwaukee--and in most any circumstance Id rather have the big--but the Raptors and Knicks may have been teams who would benefit. I wouldnt have done the trade quite honestly Frye for Ford--and I likely wouldve been mad if we did it--but it wouldve been one heckuva coup.

Got any PG's out there in the league right now that you'd be interested in Briggs? Realistic projections though, because I know you and me both want Marcus Williams, but theres no chance the Knicks are ever getting him.

Id be interested in Delonte West.

I don't think Ainge would trade with us, too close. Also, I don't really see West as too much of a playmaker. He is a helluva defender though.

Celtics are likely a more desperate team than the Knicks. I do know Delonte has been hurt and is still hurt for the entire season. He is not a pure PG who can push like Ford[but there will be a couple of really good ones coming out in the draft] yet he is exactly what we could use as part of a 4 guard rotation. he's long, smart, fundamentally sound and plays good D. I wouldnt give up Frye 1-1, but if they added a pick, I would do it

I'd wait for the draft. Bulls are going to have a solid record, but I don't think they'll be great. We could also try to move up into the lotto with Frye at that point. we'd probably be able to do much better in the draft with Isiah's drafting - also, once a point guard performs well in the NBA his price tage goes way up.

Bulls pick + Frye for a top five pick or something? I don't know. we'll see.

Delonte and their top 5 restricted pick this year with less restriction y-y.
I also like Armstrong--I liked him a lot coming into the draft--another player who was hurt towards th end of last season--people tend to forget how dominating defensively he was becoming. Were not getiing the ok4s Boozer odoms etc.. you have to find assets you like and be able to execute something when the other team is down.

UNTIL we get TWO--as in 2 new guards and ONE defensive big, were going to stay in this conundrum.
We need ball pressure we need some more consistent play from the guards and we need a guy who can block alter shots+ also have the ability to put some balls in the basket. I like Armstrong's frame athletiscm and under rated skills.

Briggs, I been saying the same exact thing for awhile now. This team needs a true PG and a true SG in the backcourt for this to work. Curry is fine at center, he's proving himself to be worthy. We just need to find the right PF to start next to him. Lee is going to make a solid rotation guy for us for a long time but, I just don't think he's starter material.

Hilton Armstrong would be a great addition, I just don't see the Hornets trading him. Looking at the Hornets roster, they've really built a great frontcourt: Chandler/Armstrong/West/Cedric Simmons.

Let me re-iterate though, I do think we are getting CLOSER. We have some nice pieces and as long as Curry keeps this up, it's going to make things easier for the rest of the team. I just think we need a new backcourt to truly make this thing work.

our backcourt defense is our weak point. Offensively they are ok

I'm content with the way Marbury is playing as long as we continue to win the games we are suppose to win. He's not going anywhere for the next 3yrs so we need him to play well. There's if enough talent on this team so that we dont have to rely on his offensive anymore.

Just looking through NBA rosters it appears all the tyoung PGs that could be available are with conference rivals.

Alright, heres a bit of a whacked out trade for you guys. It's late, Im exicted about Curry's play tonight but here it goes.

NY Trades
Channing Frye, Steve Francis, Jamal Crawford

NY Recieves
Ray Allen, Andre Miller

Den Trades
Andre Miller, Joe Smith

Den Recieves
Steve Francis, Channing Frye

Seattle Trades
Ray Allen

Seattle Recieves
Jamal Crawford, Joe Smith, Denver 1st Round Pick

I'm not sure if Seattle is interested in trading Ray, but they could use a fresh start, especially with the impending sale of the team. I dunno, something to think about
Knicks starting lineup: Miller/Allen/Q/Lee/Curry

its a good idea in theory but its too late now, cuase we already have too many people at the PG position. and also i dont think toronto would trade tj ford for a PF when they essentially just traded a PF/SF to get him.

Well, I'm saying it's worthless in the sense he gives the points right back on the defensive end. He didn't tonight, but Memphis also has no center at the moment.

Centers(who suck anyway) don't score much on Curry the problem is he's too slow in coming over to protect the lane when guards blow my Franbury.

What's the point of trading Frye for a PG when we're stuck with Franbury? drafting Marcus would've been different because we could develop him for a few years. I rather Trade Frye for a shotblocker or a sharp shooter like Ray Allen. Our team would be complete. Marbury is a good player as long as we are winning and his attitude is positive

Frye for West and a 1st round pick I would definitely do too. Get on it Isiah!

As long as we have Francis and Marbury, there is no point in bringing in another PG b/c we will have no minutes for him. Plus, we have not even seen what Collins can do as a PG. I think the kid has talent and can run a team, he just needs to pull his offense together.
