But the Packers didn't have their manliness ripped out of them last year by the evil LB.

Poor Isiah the profit is here to lift their spirits, and all most of you fans can do is boo.

None of the players on the Knicks have complained about the booing. Its fans like me that say it often goes over the line. I mean for ,,,, sakes they booed Marbury like 49 seconds in to the last game. I dont even like Marbury but that was ridiculous

But Isiah has hinted at it:
"There's a special relationship between the home crowd and home team," Thomas said. "The athletes really count on it being a friendly relationship and use it in his down moments to get himself going. When that relationship is fractured or questioned, it really affects the psyche of the athlete at home.

"On the road, it's OK if you meet a guy on the street and he berates you and tells you you're no good," Thomas added. "When your best friend tells you that, it's different. Maybe you look at yourself and start questioning and doubting. The home crowd is like his best friend. That's his go-to guy. I'm not having a good night, you're my go-to."

Thats Isiah not our players so it shouldnt be tagged on the players doing it.

Briggs said
Marbury along with Herb Williams are the two guys who will say nothing about fans booing.

Thats implying the players other than Marbury are complaining about the booing.

We all can agree that it's tough playing with all the booing. The booing doesn't help and it may even hurt. But the booing aint going away until you win. That is reality. So shut up, stop whining and worry about what's going on the court and not in the stands. It ain't changing so either stop whining and get the job done or stop playing basketball and try a sport with less pressure. Whining is not going to change anything.

As for Isiah: I'm sure his past coach's would rather be boo'd daily than openly undermined by their GM. I feel no sympathy for him. The fans will stop booing if you allow them to fire all your assistants and hire who they want and then force you to start who they want.

I don't think it's about booing per se so much as the tolerance level the fans have for the booing. The Knicks have been booed just about every home game this season, starting from the very first game. It's just created a toxic environment to play in. And it's not something limited to when the fans actually do boo-- think about going into a home game *expecting* to be booed at some point. It's different than just getting booed when you're getting blown out. Hey, I thought the crowd was alright for Toronto, but even then I heard a smattering of boos after the Knicks botched the first two possessions of the game, which gives you an idea of where the situation is at.

unfortunately, I think the tolerance level has been established more by the organization than the players. It's been years of frustration and "promises" made by Isiah and MSG. Unfulfilled promises lead to frustration and a shorter leash. That's the nature of it. If the players would put out max effort and cut down on the mistakes that shouldn't be there, the fans wouldn't boo.

The great Isiah is on a leash. My how things have changed.

I'm sorry and nothing personal to you or anyone else, but in general STFU with this! this is the most inane sht I have ever heard. These players are PAID millions!~ its a BUSINESS whats the difference of having pressure at a regular job???? Yes--when people pay huge sums of money over a period of years to see a team play and they perform at a crppy level[2001 last playoff win with highest payroll every year] there is going to be a certain level of cyniscm and critiscm--and they let them know with a boo. Its simple really--go out and WIN games at home appease the fans and their hard dollars or lose and hear about it--its that simple. But please don't blame it on the fans--they bring in the revenues to pay everyone and like DJ said---and anyone who has gone to h8undreds of games knows this--NY fans will support their teams FINANCIAL and EMOTIONALLY like no one else--but there is a tolerance level of putrid returns that the Knicks have surpassed.

Also--where the is Dolan in all of this? If I was an owner and I heard this intimation about my my paying customers Id be looking at every way in which I could NOT pay someone or at a minumum firing their arses.

It's too bad everything in life isn't so simple. If you have a problem, just fix it. duh. If you're in a wheelchair, whip up some mental toughness and start walking, you pansy.

When I play ball, sometimes my jumper is automatic and sometimes I can't buy a basket. Why? Most of the time I'm not even sure. But it's not something I can just turn on and off. And I know that if I start doubting or second guessing my shot, or getting angry that I'm off, that never helps. I imagine it'd be a lot worse if it wasn't me myself who was ready to let me know about every mistake I made, but instead thousands of people who are supposed to be on my side. These are subtle effects and you can't just fix them by pure will power. And the amount of money you get paid has nothing to do with it.

Isiah doing what he does best, spinning, shifting and selling. But I hope he understands this has to work on dolan, because it can only backfire with fans. it is we fans who are the ones who feel betrayed by our best friends. The fans never promised undying support for any old bunk that management puts on the floor - if we did Isiah wouldn't even be here right now, Laydown would.

But it is knick management who's sold us with campaigns that steam will rise from the garden roof (or is that just marbury's ashes blowing in the wind?) and Dolan telling us that Steph, TT and KT could win the championship. And who besides Isiah himself has been the one putting real pressure on his coaches and players by firing a coach every year and always having major components on the trading block... when they're not being banished, having their NBA leading iron-man streak ended in their home town, or being bought out.

And even a punk like Nate robinson is trying to get in on the action by saying fans who boo now will try to hop on the bandwagon when they're good again, but once we are against him he'll hold a grudge forever. WTF? Nate, there are many fans who've followed this team since your mother was a baby, while you've only been here for a year. You think you get to decide what rights the fans have to this franchise?

I'm tired of the rhetoric - and it's not helping their case. On top of everything else they promised us everything this year would be different and so far it's far too similar. If they want to win back trust from the fans they should apologize for whining so much and recommit themselves to earning everything they ask for from fans.

Always an excuse. Last year the coach was too hard on them, this year the fans are too hard. Can't wait until the conditions are perfect for them so that we can shoot for that .500 record.

Imagine the playoffs. 10 pt. lead on the road. The opposing team makes a 9-0 run. The fans are heckling our guys and the pressure is really on. How are they going to handle that if they can't handle a smattering of boo's when they play poorly. Some of you guys need to understand that if you can't handle this pressure you can't win. And this is why we aren't. They will win whne they suck it up and play.

Exactly Bip. The occasional moaning and groaning from the garden fans is nothing compared to what goes on in the playoffs.

You mean like in Memphis or Denver or Cleveland????? Or did those fans cheer for them to win??? It's stupid right now, because at the same time the team is winning on the road. THey are fighting on the road harder/better hearing the other team cheered and them heckled, then they are playing at home. The team will win, but it is when they consider the fans at MSG the enemy just like in other arenas..... SAD but nessercary.

Daggers are Daggers, hate the home crowd and want to shut them the hell up like an away crowd, would be my message on the team message board.

Matter of fact............

The problem with the knicks in the garden is they don't play to win ...they play not to lose. "PRESSURE"
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Okay, well if that's what they have to do, that's what they have to do. Just do it.

Funny, how the crowd wasn't a problem last night.

The crowd was weird last night. If we are losing the boos come hard and loud but last night when we were winning wire to wire they sat on their hands for most the night

That really is the point. The fans bring alot of negative energy into the Garden and only seem interested in the last few minutes of the game or if the team is messing up. But whatever, the bottomline is the players have to play through it. If they need to hate the home crowd to do it, then that is what they need to do. Go out and win the games for yourselves. If you win, the fans will get back on the bandwagon.
Trust the Process
