That's hardly a revelation.

It's a consequence of working for an owner who hires a GM to preside over a team that is burdened by both a talent deficit and cap inflexibility, and then tells the GM that he can't rebuild, but instead must make the playoffs that year.

Its funny that nobody thinks it's Frye.

Why? As his absence has demonstrated, his skillset doesn't compliment Curry's, which as dj and others have pointed out is a large reason for Curry's emergence, not the reason you gave on another thread.

I think Curry's emergence is due to IT forcing the guards to give him the ball more and the team putting Curry in a position to be able to score with 1 or 2 quick moves. At the beginning of the season, he would get the ball in the post and spend 8 seconds trying to back his man down, which ususally resulted in a turnover or an offensive foul. Now he just catches the ball and makes an immediate decision as to what he is going to do. Plus, his passing out of the post has improve tremedously from the start of the season. The only impact Frye might have had is that the team now only has one bigman low post scorer so they are forced to feed Curry a little more that if they could also go to Frye, but I think that is a minor reason for Curry's emergence. The Knicks are just using Curry better and Curry has gotten better since the beginning of the year.

they wont give him up and he's to close to curry anyway. What the Knicks need to find are players who fit the mold that we need and can be viably traded for. I don't think it's in our best interests to go out looking for a player who makes 10mm $ that has been recycled. Guys like Hilton Armstrong or Turriaf make the most sense--why

becauyse they have done it at high levels in college-they have shown great samples in the SL AND in the NBA--they cant get run because they have to many guys making to much jack in front of them. They are both 6-10+ and can block shots from the 4 position. They are both active mobile defenders

In faqct I wouldnt MIND getting both if we could--you need 4 bigs--but I REALLY DO think we can target 1 and execute a trade. We also NEED to find a player who can crate ball pressure --is that mardy collins--we won 23 games last year give him a chance if not go find someone else but we have to move ONE of our guards we cannot go with steve marbury crawford and nate one of those guys have to go --bottom line

NBA gm's want to keep young talented players on rookie contracts for depth.

The eddy curry free agent signing killed any opportunity to get the greg odens in the draft. Giving up 2 #1 for curry is what we got, this is why curry has to be more than what he's showing us.

We need him to get blks and reb more, if anyone needed an incentive in their contract it's curry.

You get (avg)10 or more rebs a game you get another 1,000,000,000 dollars.
