26 is young to me.
I don't think it is for the NBA. VERY few NBA players make drastic improvements to their games after 26. They might refine an area, but it's a VERY bad sign if you're still underachieving by 26 IMO.

qrich was my favorite player on the team last year b/c he was one of the few that busted tail all year. plus he was about to lay a beat down on tommygunnbury.
Translation: he showed his undying love and support for LB, and even tho he was probably thee worst player on the roster, I had a man crush on him for that.

i know you're not talking about man crush's killa...

Q's been through alot more tough times in his life than Craw, so obviously he's matured beyond his years... everyone on this team respects Q, both for his toughness, & for the fact that he was able to battle back from all the crap he went through last year & is now playing some of the best ball of his career. ((can't speak for Marbs, but who does he respect anyway)
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

Agreed, and good point. In baseball, statistically the prime for the average player is 28. In the NBA, it's significantly lower, I think around 25 or 26. It's possible we've already seen Jamal Crawford's prime and this is it.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

You need to use the special tags for clarifying irony:

See how much more effective it is?

I disagree with that. I think if you're gonna be good, your best years are in your late 20s and early 30s. That's if you listened to your coaches, are staying in shape, and are improving or doing what your supposed to be doing. However, I think Bonn is right that if your 26, and not anywhere close to where you're supposed to be, then it should be cause for concern.

I think he was pointing that out about Jamal Crawford, and he's not wrong yet. Thing is, Crawford plays hard and is still very athletic and still has the talent, so it's a tough situation to be in with him. He's no Tim Thomas.

Well, like I said, it's a statistical average. Some players can peak later. Some players peak earlier. Odds are against Crawford peaking much further, if you look at statistically. He's way off where he needs to be.

I agree on that, but if you're gonna talk about players who are on par for where they should be, 26 is not their best year. More like 28-30, if they are on par for where they should be. Some players even have their best years after that. Allan had his at like 32!
