The newspaper the other day pretty much hinted at that when marbury was benched. The writers said multiple Knicks were upset that Marbury was still starting despite missing the shoot around. I think the Marbury special treatment upset other players (KT) in the past. Isiah I think is coming to realize this and thats why he is looking to the team not 1 player now.
I LOVED how Curry just exploded in the 4th, speaking as a fan of the Raptors, Curry looked well, scary I think is the word. Or Shaq-like Curry: 19.1ppg-7.3rpg-58%fg

that's a legitimate point about losing the rest of the team if you treat Marbs different than the others... one would hope Isiah would be smart enough to do what's best for the team over 1 individual... like i said, i think Francis is the guy who should be starting right now... i just don't know if Isiah would bench Marbury right now because of the whole media circus that would create... who knows what will happen though... it's going to be real interesting to see how he deals w/this.

This is where the Marcus Williams pick kinda hurts, b/c if we have a lineup of Q, Jared, Lee and Curry, then who's going to distribute the ball? I think Francis might be just a tad better at that (Not that I think he's good at ball distributing), but I think Marbury is the overall better scorer and we could use a go to scorer in that lineup, unless Isiah has so much faith in Curry to be so.

Since that's the case, I think it should be:

Curry
Lee
Jefferies
Quentin
Francis

I think Marbury is gonna have to be bought out. I see more and more everyday that when he's not scoring, he's useless. He's completely content to defer to Crawford during the 4th quarter as well and it's frustrating b/c Marbury should be so much better than that.

I don't think this should be the starting lineup, but how's this for a lineup when we really need stops:

Lee
Jefferies
Balkman
Quentin
Nate

Quentin and Nate can be the scorers. Good enough to cause a lot of disturbance on the offensive end, and that lineup can grab boards as well. Only thing that would make it better is having a shotblocker.

Wanna get more radical? Put Collins in for Nate.

marbury should be benched unless theres some reason that develops between when jeffries returns and now that suggests that he shouldnt.

exactly...as things stand, francis is the better facilitator of the offense.

The thing is, in isiah's offense, it's not about who starts so much as who finishes, he uses the entire game to see what is developing and how he's going to finish the game, his mid game moves mimmick mid season moves.

The better we finish the better we will finish.

I'd rather see Francis start- but, I'm not sure its about Marbury as Isiah's friend as it is that Marbury was here first, Francis came after - marbury has the bigger contract.

I would almost want to see them alternate starting & coming off the bench- I will grant that Francis is probably better at it, mentally- but who knows, it might piss Marbury off enough that he would put forth a lot of effort- which would be good.

I picked Francis BUT I think Jeffries should come off the bench until he gets a feel for the team.

Marbury should not be benched. All the other scrub players should be benched, and Marbury should play one-on-five. Marbury is our best player, and he does his best when he's "All Alone".

No, I said Jeffries should goto the bench and I don't believe Lee should give up his starting spot with the way he's played.
