instead of talking about the garden, maybe you guys should buy tickets and change the atmosphere.

If you mix 1 pound of ice cream with 1 pound of sh!t, what you get is 2 pounds of sh!t.

and you'd probably still eat it.

Knicks were 8-33 on the road last year. they're 5-5 on the road this year. not the same team.

I'm in VT for the year, but I'll be back next year if there are any season tickets left after the playoff charge.

then i suggest you wait till next year to talk about the "class" of knicks fans at the garden.

I don't want to wait until next year to win another home game. hey, I know you go to the games, I'm not singling you out - it's been a group effort.

i know. but i don't agree with the thought. remember, a majority of the place are season ticketholders so they had to sit through 6-7 consecutive years of BS. just imagine having to sit through LAST YEAR and all the crap that surrounded the team, do you blame anybody there from voicing their displeasure.

yeah, the fans are allowed to boo. I just think that this is clearly an example of the home team not being comfortable because of it, hey they had to sit the BS of last year, too. they're putting a lot of pressure on themselves at home, whereas they're just playing ball on the road.

we didn't get our fifth road win until March last year.

I've said before that i don't agree with booing my own team, but those fans that do, need to at least reflect on how this team plays on the road and think WHY? There's no reason to cheer a team that isn't performing, but booing guys when they come back INTO the game is excessive. I can't agree with that and fans have done that repeatedly. How about starting a chant to try and start the team up. I remember back in the Ewing era we used to do that much more often. I want this team to get a swagger back at home, so I hopw the players can get off to a good start in their next home game.

Once again it's gonna be the 2nd game of a back to back, which makes it tougher on the team. We would be coming home after playing Detroit, so you know that's gonna be draining. The fans that are at the games aren't all avid fans, so let's clear that up too. There are a LOT of company tickets in that arena. People just there for the event. In NY there are a LOT of people who like the NBA but aren't really big Knicks fans and they go to the games too. That's the reality of the situation. For years the real fans have been way up in the rafters.

If the team can't handle boos then they are not men.

I can't agree with that. How would you like it if people were booing you while you were trying to work after every mistake you made. It has an effect and simply saying "if they were men or if they were tough" is ignoring the reality of human nature. I agree that the team needs to just play through it, but fans should also consider how it will look if the team goes .500 for the season away and stays below .200 at home. That would not say much about the NY fan.

I'd rather play all our games on the road. Other teams have a home court advantage but we have a home court disadvantage
I LOVED how Curry just exploded in the 4th, speaking as a fan of the Raptors, Curry looked well, scary I think is the word. Or Shaq-like Curry: 19.1ppg-7.3rpg-58%fg

Hey man, I've played in many bands -- I've been booed before. It comes with the territory of being a performer. If you can't take it, don't get on stage (or the court for that matter). Performing in front of thousands of people who pay to see you do your thing is a privilege. True performers rise to the occasion. That's just the way I feel. What happened to "we make love to pressure"?

We make love to pressure, so long as there's no booing involved. Also, we don't handle adversity well.

Knick fans dont boo when a player misses a free throw or a wide open jumoshot in the first quarter.

I used to do hardcore btob sales in NY and NJ. One out of 100 people would buy what I was selling. 90 people would tell me to f myself. And nine people would call the cops. I made 20K a year to feed my family. It sucked, but I became resilient and now could sell you that ****/ice cream dessert and overcharge you for it.

This booing is not a bad thing. Having pressure is not a bad thing. Making the playoffs will be full of pressure. They will need to learn to respond. Until they respond with resiliency and toughness it doesn't matter. If guys can't handle it ship them out and bring in guys like Q that can. Bring in guys who through their play turn the boo's into cheers. Other than that I don't want to hear any more excuses from this bunch. Their joy is back so show it on the court.

For the record: I have never boo'd a team in my life. I refuse to boo. I frown on booing of individuals. But have no problem with fans that boo after the tank job that this team put forward last year. These are millionaires, used to being adored. They have forgotten what we have all accepted. Noone cheers you unless you earn it.

For the record you think playing in the Garden is bad? Try playing in some small gym in Greece where the home crowd openly threatens every american that walks in the gym. Boo's you everytime you miss a shot. And where getting hit by one coin/battery every 5 minutes is the norm. Enough of these babies. They need to learn to be tough if we are going to get anywhere.
I just hope that people will like me
