Fact is, we are stuck with Marbury. The only way that we can get rid of him is by taking back utter trash in return, and despite how unliked Marbury is lately he is much better than utter trash.

One thing that you do have to on blame Thomas is the nonexistant production coming from Marbury. The guy still has some gas in his tank, you dont lose everything in one season. Isiah has got to find some sort of place for Marbury, because I think this team is worse when Marbury isnt getting his 20/8 a game (more so the 8 assists than the 20 points.)

And Berman has a point, the only time last season when we has any success as a team was when Marbury was playing his best ball, everaging something like 27/10 during the win streak (guestimation).

Fact is, we need this guy to produce, I doubt we would keep falling into these big holes if Marbury was getting his.

it's the fans in section 404's fault.

there is a very good chance that isiah thinks he's done here anyway, regardless of wins/losses. so he may not care about his "bond" with steph anymore.

Isiah is doing the right thing. He has a TEAM to run and he can't just cator to one guy and forsake the good of the team. However, he is using tough love on Steph and that to me makes sense. He has to get thru to him. Francis was able to make the adjustment and there's no reason why Steph can't as well. It's his own stubborness getting in the way, but like last year it's up to Steph to get himself out of this.

Steph hasn't handled this well and basically he's forced Isiah's hand against himself. You have to know that Isiah doesn't want to embarrass him. Still Isiah has to do what's best for the team, so I think Berman has it wrong. Steph is the one who has to change and adjust PROPERLY. He's changed how he plays, but not with the right spirit. The way Francis is playing is closer to what Isiah is looking for. Be a distributor and director, until you see the need to take it yourself. When the play breaks down or the shot clock is winding down.

There is one area where I kind of agree with Berman and that is this effort to go to Curry so much. Early in the last game it killed us cuz he wasn't scoring and the ball never comes back out. Steph has to be the one to sense that and go to the hot players on the court. While I understand the need to get Curry going, there also has to be a balance to keep the other players involved as well. I'd prefer the ball be passed around to the other players 1st. Let everyone touch the ball. Make the defense have to defend the entire court. Then when we go to Curry the defense is less focused on him and he'll be more successful. From what i've seen that works best.

Blueseats seemed to be more on point about this situation as he alluded to his very thing yesterday. He in summation stated Zeke is hanging Marbury out to dry in an attempt to save his own job. He's laying the groundwork for his PowerPoint presentation to Dolan.

Is it just me or do people look really goofy with their hands cupping their mouths to boo? Do they think that makes their sound travel better? Great logic. :)

Booing Won't Make It Better, Hopefully Time Will

By Mike Wise

...You know who you are, the pathetic lot booing Ramsey in a 24-17 preseason loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, cheering him, booing him some more, shuffling out of FedEx Field thinking the job may now be Brunell's to lose.

You people. It wouldn't be so bad if the jeering did not begin on the team's second possession of its second preseason game. But that's where we are with this franchise...

LOL Look at the placement of their hands. They cant even agree wher to put them for the boo effect. sitting at your desk go ahead and boo. see if the hands on the cheeks help, lol. :)

interesting... so when Larry does it its sabotaging the season, etc
When Isiah does it he's giving Marbury tough love.

Howabout Marbury's a problem neither knew how to deal with? Larry had him playing pretty good for a stretch. Isiah hasnt yet... at all. Ahhh, the irony.

It's funny none of these kid-inspired comebacks actually amount to victories as they run out of gas.

That is an interesting point Berman makes...coming back from 20 takes a lot out of a team. IT should play the kids earlier in my opinion, and overall just go to the hot hand.

It may be that some are hypocrites, but I'm curious about who these "bunch of hypocrites" are?

I guess I can't recall who here was all anti-Brown last year other than the NY Times posters (i.e. mister.earl) but I only saw a few people saying anything remotely positive, unless the target is primarily Berman?

of UK posters:

franco12 - arguing that Marbury's lack of good play lays the blame on him because it seems that other players are stepping up, and Isiah should get credit for them.

nixluva - The only one who said anything about tough love...Were you/was he in the anti-Larry crowd?

In that case, in fairness, I believe it would be "hypocrite" rather than "a bunch of hypocrites" just to not throw everyone into one bunch. In all honestly, I probably do some of the same groupin with regards to critics this year, as I did with the kool-aiders late last season when I had enough, but it's mostly just meant to try to add a little juice to the other side, which I am not even 100% on.

Wait, so now you're harping about something that was discussed about a week ago? Weren't you crying about someone allegedly bringing up something from the night before? You know, the thread that made you finally snap and lose your mind?

Apparently it's: Do as oohah says, not what he does.

By "bunch of hypocrites" I mean every poster who has defended Isiah's use of Marbury and put the blame on Marbury while last year blaming Larry for everything, starting with his treatment of Marbury.

I'm not going to name names but it's more than one poster.

Ive said for years when 1 person has problems with a dozen players/coachs its ridiculous to always blame the other people
