is this article for real? berman's an idiot.

and wallace replaced chandler...not curry so he has nothing to do with the eddy deal.

oh give me a break. when people were trashing the deal, they said the big thing we gave the Bulls was cap space, because they gave up Curry's contract for picks and they were saying we not only gave them picks, but cap space. I argued the point at the time, but there were people who were saying it. Even when the Bulls signed Ben Wallace, folks were saying we were the reason they could do so. You know what? Wallace looks old.

Sure, the Bulls will get better, but it's no lock. Even with a number two pick and max cap space - they didn't address their main problems - no scoring pressence in the post and no big SG.

What's wrong with the article? Maybe the trade wasn't a steal. The jury is still very much out.

This year's pick will likely determine whether the trade was a steal or not. Curry for Thomas seems to be a deal in our favor IMO, especially when we already have Frye and Lee. If we keep our pick or it turns out to be a late lottery pick, I think the trade will definitely be in our favor or at least fairly even.

I disagree untill eddy grabs at least one rebound that doesent simple bounce into his hands

Thats just lame hater talk. While he needs to rebound better he gets easy and hard rebounds just like every other big. He gets offensive rebounds. Offensive rebounds dont just bounce in to guys hands. You have to attack to get most of them

do you watch eddy curry play? I dont give a **** if he gets 20 and 10 ONE OUT OF EVERY 5 GAMES... if he can get 20 and 10 for a SEASON ill shut the **** up... he ALWAYS has these typeso f boston type games ONCE IN A WHILE... so what? doesent mean ****... he still has MORE games where his innept effort and total lack of any kind of hustle single handedly LOOSES the game for us.. Eddy Curry is a big fat peice of garbage he has a lot more work to do to proove that statement false.

Yeah I watch them play. Ive been watching them play longer than you have been alive.

1 single center in the NBA averages 20-10. Thats Yao but no sense bringing reality in to your posts.

By the way your cursing and insults on a messageboard really just make you seem very insecure

ok ill settle for 17 and 8.. i really would. How about less than 3 turnovers.. maybe an assist or 2.. wait wait.. A BLOCK??? that would be nice... Dude if you think curry is so great, fine. I'd like to hear you say this after he strings together 5 games of mcdonalds hangovers. But me - If you look at my posts in the past i have been one of the biggest supporters of guys like Curry/Marbury in the past, but enough is enough.. im sick of the lack of effort these guys give. Just sick of it.

And pointing out my cursing and talkin about how old you are compared to me really makes you seem very mature - bravo. PS im not insulting anyone but Curry's effort... we can change that tho if you'd like

The people that argued cap space with you were dead wrong anyway. The bulls gained cap space via the Jcraw trade via our expiring deals for Jcraw, JYd, etc. Even Bulls fans admit this on real GM. They did not gain any real significant cap space in the Curry trade. Ad=TT in contract. Curry made like 2 mill for the bulls while Sweet made around 1 mill. The cap space gained was under 2 mill. Nothing significant. If curry made 8 mill for the Bulls then they would have gained in cap space but he did not.

curry provides ZERO defense. what we need from curry is a guy that we can dump the ball down to in the low post almost everytime down the court. that's how you win in the playoffs...and win BIG.

if curry doesn't develop into that, i'd rather go get another center that plays defense.

or if we keep curry, and he's just a complimentary piece, then we need to get a stud PF.

Please show me where I said Curry was great. I must be very old because I do not remember saying that at all. All I said is that somebody claiming every rebound he gets just bounces right to him is hater speak.

If we use the zone more, it will help Curry. Even Marbury looks like a better defender in the zone. And plenty of playoff teams use the zone pretty heavily. There are certain teams that can break it, there are many who can't.

There are plenty of players in the league not known for their defense. Yao wasn't for a while and recently his defense has really improved. It can be improved, but I think a zone really helps Curry for now.

Curry needs to put up top 5 production just to compensate for his awful defense and break even. So far this year he's been more of a liability than an asset, as has been the case his whole career.

I'm not saying he can't, but you can't make it seem like that's ok production. Thatis from the list above me, number two in scoring and number five in rebounding. That is great prodection and I think Curry can reach that.

When you trade 1 lotto pick and another potential lotto pick for a player, he better put up top position stats.

the point of this thread is that there may not be a second pick.

^^^^ Bong, Bong.. you hit it right on the head. But I see NYK you keep saying Lotto pick, but if it turns out to be a 14-12, nobody is going to care, espeically if the bulls pick is 16-18.

That is a lot of IF's. In my opinion giving up pick #2 in last years draft is already too much for Eddy Curry. Now you want to throw another pick on top of it?

The Bulls are a better team and every year start out with a poorer record because they have a 9game road trip every year while the circus comes to Chicago. The Bulls will not finish with less than 45 wins which means guess what, we're trading picks!

How about this saying that every rebound Curry gets falls in his hands is wrong, because, omg, he does get some rebounds that don't just fall into his hands. Does anybody really think that when a guy says "every rebound Curry gets falls into his hands" he means that "every" rebound really falls into his hands? I think its pretty obvious it means that what he is trying to say is that most of the rebounds Curry gets, and he does not get too many, fall into his hands. Jumping on somebody for using a figure of speech is retarded.

And another thing, a guy you trade 1, and possibly 2 lottery picks for, along with a former lottery pick, regardless of how good he is, better produce top 5 numbers for his position. Especially if he can't stop his mom from scoring on him.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

Sweetney is not a lottery caliber player and Thomas didn't draft him. Does anyone think Isiah would have drafted Sweetcakes? I don't.

As for Curry - rebounding is about positioning, timing and effort. Curry is horrible at all three, though he CAN do them. He's just not a good rebounder. He's a below average rebounder for his height. He should probably be at about 8rpg for his height at 30mpg.

I absolutely agree with you. 8 is the most I think he is capable of ever averaging. His rebounding is not an issue because it is not good enough, it is an issue because its so bad.

Also, at the time we trades Sweetney the jury was still out of how much of an impact he can be. A player is a lottery selection at least until the end of his rookier contract. Guys take time to develop, especially bigs. So I don't think its fare game to say Sweetney was not a lottery pick player at the time of the trade.

Either way, even one high lottery pick, is too much for the current level of production Curry is putting. 2 lottery picks is a disaster, and 3 is a reason to kill yourself if you are GM who made the trade.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

That's what's so frustrating about the guy. Some nights he's a top 2 center in the league, other nights he's best suited to the bench.

Consistency is the thing that really establishes dominance. Otherwise guys like Crawford and Tim Thomas would be superstars.
