I would take walker and posey right now. Posey can be cut and Walker does rebound and has the tools to be very good in this offense.
Riley would never do that. Dorrell is actually a starter now it appears he's looking to develop a few young players around Wade. If the Walker and Posey trade happen you're looking at
Jeffries A.K.A. MVP Q Balkman Lee Posey Walker Frye Rose
All redundantly interchangeable at some level.

^^^ Im not getting what you are saying. you saying Riley wouldn't trade bench players and you wouldn't want them any way????
No!
I'm saying Riley would not trade one of his young promising players for Marbury no matter what advantage this point Marbury would have over that player talentwise.
I also wouldn't agree with the Knicks accepting a Walker/Posey package given the roster.
I am in favor of waiving Marbury though.

That's kinda of stupid though, if you are willing to wavie 43 million owe to marbury next two season, why be willing to wave 18 million owed to walker if he dosen't work out. And if posey was that much of a problem he would wavied any way. Cutting marburys contract in half would be a great assist to the team.

I just don't want us to get fleeced(can we actually get fleeced if we get rid of Marbury?). But the whole thing comes down to who else is out there for the Heat to get?
Marbury by far is the most talented guard presently available. The Heat are in win now mode, hence why they want to trade for a vet guard. The uberstrong leadership structure will keep Steph in line so I don't think Miami has to worry about that.
If Miami is serious, Dorrell Wright has to be part of the package, IMO. We are taking back a few crappy contracts-who we will probably cut anyway-we need to get something back.
What it boils down to does Miami need a guard more desperately than we need to give up Steph. I think it is at least viable.

there are zero players of any worth that we can get for Marbury that don't come w/HUGE health concerns or bad contracts at this point... we are faced w/the only option of buying him out or letting him languish on this team for the remainder of the season... that doesn't net any positive results for anyone involved, including Marbury... he needs to move on, for his sake & for our own... if there's no trades out there that will get us back a more manageable contract in return, best to just cut ties now before the entire season is sacrificed imo... Isiah's job is to think of the team first, individual players second... Marbury's his boy but there comes a time when loyalty to friendships can bring down the rest of the franchise... tonight's benching opens the glimmer of hope that Isiah finally realizes this
