right now the only guys I'm not willing to move are Nate and Lee. Lee's FG% is UP from last year's +50%. Nate is looking more and more like a special scorer. I like the range he's showing and the mid range game is very good. Driving to the basket wont buy him much if he cant hit those mid shots and he's very good at it. He also makes some nice passes.

I have no idea what kind of NBA player Mardy is but IF he can defend 2's and IF he can run an offense (big IF's but I'm willing to find out over 50 games) he and Nate can be an interesting combo. Sort of a poor man's Iverson/Snow.

I still say we move Q to the Nuggets for their picks. I think thats got a high plausability.

what do you think of Balkman fish?

Well all signs point to breakin it down and starting fresh. The knicks are closer to that than making a trade to get any better.

So wish list? Trade Francis to clevland. Trade craw to LA, trade marbs to Memphis. Just get picks and cap relief.

Isiah is fired, becomes a TV analist again and beats the hell out of Greg Anthony during a commercial break.

let's see, i thought the plan 3 years ago was to break it all down & build it back up again w/younger, more athletic talent? so after that time we're right back where we started, only w/younger & more athletic players who just don't know how to play the game the right way as of yet?

how about we get rid of the 2 biggest contracts on the books in Marbury & Francis, & toss Big Turd to the garbage dump first before we overreact & trade away all our young players for draft picks & expiring contracts & see where that takes us first? no one is giving up draft picks & expiring contracts for Marbury or Francis either, so forget that notion. you'd do well to simply get a player w/1 less year remaning on his contract for either of those guys right now.

Curry
Frye
Lee
Q
Jamal
Nate
Balkman
Collins

that's not all that bad a young core to have... obviously a franchise player is absent there, but name me 1 franchise player we can realistically obtain right now for any combination of those players (other than Lee, who i am not dealing for anyone).
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

I like that he plays hard. He would be getting 15-20 minutes if it was up to me, at least until he got exposed. He reminds me of a skinny JYD. I think finding more guys like Balkman shouldnt be that hard. Uduka (now in Portland), James Jones, Adrian Griffin (younger), Shandon Anderson (younger)... getting young guys that play hard and defend isnt that tough. Its getting the the skills guys that make them look good thats hard. Guys like Balkman always help you stay in games, but they wont help you win games. You need stars to finish... thats how it works in this league. Nate may not be a star but I'm starting to think he can finish.

I'd rather keep Crawford and start him after trading Marbs or Francis. He has a killer closer mentality that is really rare - even if he is inconsistent. His contract isn't that bad.

Trade Marbs to Minny, Stevie to Memphis maybe. both for expiring contracts.

Then we have an ok looking team. Need to find a point guard though.

I think it's still too early to write off Curry.

Briggs I am going to say that Al Horford will be a lottery pick and a great player. That is if you like 6-10 shot blockers that love to rebound run the floor and is unselfish. I love Durant and Tyler is the toughest SOB I have ever coached

King1- Horford is exactly who I'd target. I'm not sure how we can get him, but I'd definitely like to.

Your not getting those players, I can actually see the Nuggets taking Q because I think he could really help them in the playoffs, but thats only contract and they already Anthony, Martin, Camby, Nene, etc. But they are missing a piece and Q could put them over the top...If they want to give us some draft picks, as much as I like Q I think I would do it and then just use Jefferies/Balkman at the SF spot.......

Crawford needs to go, and we need to start building a winner, and LA would really have to consider a deal for mckie and mihm because it really would give them a dynamic starting five and they still would have a good bench.......

then you get two contracts off the books long term and will be so far under the cap when Wade, Lebron and Bosh become free agents.....

And by that time I believe you can expect the following if ****head gets fired......

The knicks nhave enough Kids on the team, there isn't really any need to be trading for picks. We just need to get rid of Francis or Marbury and Frye or Curry. Nate/Collins/Crawford/Q should all be seeing playing time and the front court is unbalanced. We just need to clear out the back court and get some bangers in the front court. I would rather trade francis and frye for Camby and joe Smithin my dreams....... something long those lines.

Curry/Smith
Camby/Lee
JJ2/balkman
Q/nate
Marbury/crawford

They'd both be tempting if they were around when we picked.

What about Thaddeus Young or Spencer Hawes?

the 3 guys who I have seen
play this year who have impressed me the most concerning the NBA are Durant #1 that large white guard [i dont even know his name from Arizona] and Tyler Hansborough. Ive seen Spencer Hawes in the USA vs foreign all stars last and I like Hansborough way better + in terms for the NBA C Id rather have Hibbert. I know some people might disagree with me on Hibbert, but I think he has tremendous NBA potential because of his touch and size. He's going to be good just clogging the lane + he has excellent offensive skills.

Marcus Williams from Arizona. Very solid player. He was the best player on 'Zona last year.

What impressed with with Durant? Are the T-Mac comparisons fair?

Briggs, I've heard nothing but stuff about how Oden is gonna stay a couple of years in college.
