I don't know much about how Isiah coached at Indiana, but maybe this is just his style? He emphasises the positive. Maybe this is the best approach for our guys, since they are emotionally fragile.
what he says behind closed doors is all that matters to the players but fans go by what is said to the press. so when he keeps making excuses for players and they put up stinkers at the garden, fans will boo and boo hard. all knicks fans ask for is honesty. but sadly, that honesty could hurt the player's fragile psyche. this is a league wide issue, not just here.
