This one is not on eddy. he did ok considering Isiah had him guarding him one on one. Eddy on his best day can't stop him.

Isiah seems like he is all alone on the bench and has that look like he just figured out how Phuched he really is.

eddy can't guard him...but eddy put forth no effort tonight.

here is the observation from this game...and every game this year, in terms of the big picture:

it's nice to see them play hard and they should, especially after last season. isiah has them all on the same page and they're trying. but the team ain't built right. you can't win with a soft frontcourt of frye and curry. and lee and balkman ain't good enough to start together and win games. and our guards aren't good enough to carry such a soft defensive starting frontcourt to wins. the team just ain't built right.

two back to back AWFUL games by eddy. AWFUL.

Can't argue with that. BUT,
I am not down on Eddy, he got more touches tonight than he did all season and he just stunk it up, but, on a regular night if Eddy gets that many touches he'll have 20+. There is only 1 Yao Ming. Eddy was in foul trouble in Denver, 5 fouls in 13 minutes and some of those calls were totally bogus. Tonight was just utter uselessness on both ends. A really bad game. Most nights will not be this bad, this was his worst game as a knick.

Eddy needs this many touches on a regular night and he will deliver, tonight it looked like he didn't know how to play basketball.

Eddy doesn't average shoot 56% from the field for nothing. On a regular night thats 20+ with that many touches, the D is the thing to worry about.

multiple that by 45 games per year for 5 years and that's eddy's career.

It's puzzling. I dun understand how Eddy can be so dominant some nights and get used like this on others. I would love to have our offense run through the bigs, but frankly at this point I'm alot more comfortable w/ the burden on our guards right now, which is kinda sad.

and not for nothing - this is EXACTLY how chicago fans have felt for 4 years. this ain't nothing new. it's now our turn...and we severely overpaid for it.

And Frye needs to get his mojo back, too.

One good thing about Isiah is that he still seems to be encouraging Frye and showing frye that he still has confidence in him by keeping him in the starting lineup. Stability is something they couldn't dream of having last year. I wonder how Frye is doing in practice.
