And it looks as though it could be a while...

ESPN just flashed during the WSOP final table repeat "Knicks G Steve Francis is out indefinately with a sprained ankle"

I'm no doctor, but just the seeing that in print makes me cringe. We really needed Stevie, I thought he was playing with a chip on his shoulder. Damnit

He and Marbury have been awful together. Steve has only played well with Marbury out and Marbury finally got hot last night with Francis out.

One wonders if the doctors don't want Steve to think his sprain is worse than it is just so they can sit him down so Marbury can rehabilitate his game. Similarly, one wonders if Steph wont get "hurt" shortly after Franny returns.

Anything to not have them playing together.

(slightly facetious, but not much)

BTW, please let us not blame the season on injuries. Sprained ankles are a fact of life in the NBA, and if anything, with all the logjams and redundancies of this team, getting some guys out of the way is a good thing.

Nobody replaces him. We just don't have to run with 2-3 PGs at a time. As for who starts, I hope we move Lee to the starting lineup at SF and shift Q over to the 2 to start the game.

thats what I would do.

Maybe something like:

Curry
Frye
Lee
Q
Marbury

Taking Frye out of the starting lineup will bring down his confidence further. We need to build this guy up, not tear him down.

That Bruc Bowen is one dirt @ss player. How many stars or good players does he injure? At least a couple/year.
