Go ahead ya bunch of FAKE ASS KNICK FANS, keep it up. After just two games you've already jumped ship like the FREAKIN RATS YOU ALL ARE!!! I think it's a shame that there can be so many so called fans who can't even wait for the team to play it's first home game before they give up on the team. WHAT FREAKING JOKE!!!

Good morning, excuseluva.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

I used to post much more. One of the reasons, i post less is that I see so much negativity around here.

Just as our society has become a "microwave" society, so has this board. Does anyone understand the word patience anymore? The context at which people seem to look at things is very narrow. Not only here but in the world.

2 games. Yes, I wish they would have won last night. Yes, there are some signs for concern. Frye being the most obvious. Let's see where they are at on December 31st.

The panic is just too much.

Go, don't take this the wrong way, you know me.

But the last 4 years our wins are 30, 37, 39, 33, 23. Our team was transfromes from almost a 50 win team(in 2001) to a 23 in team(33 if you don't count last year). We have the highest payroll, the least to show for it, ad we have evolved from a basketball team into a circus in jock straps. I know it sounds like all bad and that is because it is. And as much people want to label in one camp or the other, I'm a realist.

Simple fact of the matter is, GoNy, is that there is not alot of positivity around this team. Negativity is almost reality at MSG these days.

We again lost the point of the thread.
The thread was started to discuss IT statement (or slogan) that Knicks are young and athletic team. Is this a fact of live or just propoganda?
islesfan used the game with Atlanta team which IS young and athletic to compare it with Knicks head to head and discuss the point. It's wery good opportunity for this after yesterday game.
I don't know what all this is to do with hating of loving the team.

My opinion on the point of the thread is that Knick team is a mixed bag with some players young, some athletic, some old, and some players with phusical and mental deficienties (in NBA backetball terms). Atlanta is not a very good team but it has an identity. We can argue if this kind of identity is the recepy to success or failure. But they have it.
Knicks team has no identity in this respect. It is just a group "thrown together" by people concerned about their Igos, corporate politics, personal agendas, but unfortunately not basketball.

Out of point and getting back no Nixlova:

I am not hating Knicks and Knicks players - i fill for them. They are in unfortunate situation. You know like Enron employes just before the crash. All they can do is take a personal stand and work hard on their game. And we can see it for Lee, Fry,Curry, Nate, Balkman, etc. Can this personal improvement work help the team results? Not necessary. Sometimes this is even conflicting.

All in all my focus is on the young players develompent not on the team results this year

We've been a losing team since Isiah has got here and before Isiah got here. THAT'S cause for concern.

Allow me to point out that I have not given any opinion on this post. I have stayed out of it. This is just a note for the positivity patrol that will be attributing many of these statements to me a week from now. I have an inkling about a lot of things, but am reserving judgement until at least Game 10. Although I will say that after last night I am itching for game 10. I'm not sure how much longer I can give the benefit of the doubt.

I just wanted to say that. Carry on.

None taken.

I understand and you are right mostly. I really do. In hindsight, some of IT's moves can be questioned. The thing is, when they traded Ewing this franchise dug itself a huge hole and they are still coming out of it.

The major issues with this team is lack of leadership on the court. I hope IT sees it and plays the guys who come to play, Lee, Nate, Q, Balkman

The problem is as simple as the PG. I am more positive because, I think that this is his last chance. If he does not play for IT, then he is done. Now, if he does perform, this team will be alright. The problem is perform or not, we are stuck with him and Francis!

I want IT to play guys on performance and not reputation or draft number. So far the performers are, Lee, Q, Nate, Curry, Balkman (yes in his little time, he has shown enough. Make the VETS earn their time. I think IT is a leader and he will get it done. I am willing to give him some time to get it going. I know its his roster, but now he is coaching it and that SHOULD make a good amount of difference.

You said it perfectly right there! I've been asking for this for awhile.

Bip, this isn't directed at you per se, but the time to discuss the knicks always seems to be a moving target. First we have to get rid of Brown, then it's just preseason, now it's 10-15 games, then it's when Jeffries gets back, then it's after we see what isiah does with the trade deadline, then it will be after the all-star break, then it's when other teams clinch playoff births, then it will be the draft and summer trades, then it will only be summer league and preseason, then we'll have to give them 20 games and wait for guys to get over injuries, and on and on.

All those are perfectly fine concerns and points of departure, but to suggest (not you) that there is something wrong with discussing what we see in the here and now is absurd and antithetical to the purpose of the very board we are on.

We are here to talk about the Knicks today - in fact right now. Why that is so troubling to some is beyond me.

This team as is will always be know as "mentally weak".

Isiah himself said this when LB was coaching. Now if the leaders on the team wasn't why would Isiah say this?

Marbury and Co are in for a rude awakening, MJ said it best... playing in the NBA is 90% mental and 10% physical....you do the math !
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Agree with Ooh Hah with giving it at least a stretch (10 games?) before we cut Zeke's head off.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

In all honesty I agree with you. This isn't something new we are seeing. The same problems that we had last year are hear this year. I just get tired of saying the same thing over and over again. So for now I'm giving it until, hmmmmmmmmmmmm game 37 for the team to learn all the plays, get the excuses out, shake off the curse of LB and build up their self-esteem before I make judgements.
