The Knicks have made big changes for the last ten years now and it's gotten us were we are now. It's not pretty, of course not, but what does it say to have to do it all over again, just because it's not working right now? True, it may never' work, but you also have to give it some time to rippen, if it does rippen at all. I don't think it's personel, or the players (excluding 'leader') for the most part that are the problem. I think it is we' the fans and the media and what it means to play in NYC and to live up to the money that can scare a person to death. So maybe we' the fans need to first change our attitudes a little, as far as supporting what we have and giving it the best support we can. It's one thought, one of many. Anyone have any other thoughts about that?
I'll never trust this' team again.

I want the guy that can handle his weapon and fights well. He can be brave and have all the heart in the world but if he sucks, what good is he? I'm willing to give Q another chance, but I honestly think anyone who thinks he's the cornerstone of the team is delusional.

i used to gush about Q Rich when he was a Clipper... anyone who knows me from the MSG days can attest to that... last year was an anomaly for him... very understandable after your brother is murdered & your father is shot in the same year, wouldn't u say? i think this year is going to be a nice bounceback season for Q... i'm not getting carried away trying to say he's an elite SF or anything like that, but he's going to be a big reason for any success this team will have this year.

I am refering to Q and D Lee as solid role players to build around. Not Franchise talent or an elite.

I thought that Crawford drew fouls the way we want him to last night he seemed to be at the line all the time. I fell asleep and missed the overtimes but from what I saw he was drawing alot of fouls and getting to the line.

Excellent, perhaps you are close enough to Q to know all of his personal issues. Please let us know what they were and how devestating they were.

Also, let us know about your knowlegde on Q's injuries throughout the season.

Yes, I noticed. That is why I usually prefer to READ rather than type years ago from the MSG boards and from these boards the last 2 to 3 years. I figure I would give my full interpretation and push to expel our players from the team. We are going nowhere with them and that wont change. Since the turn of the millenium we have won more games with less "talent" in previous seasons.

I feel our/my generation are extremely overpaid without prooving anything aside from being athletic, running streetball and dunking. Of course I am not refering to every player. Notice we do not have not 1 ELITE player on our team. That is a shame considering the fiscal stratosphere of the Knicks. The majority of teams in the NBA have at least 1 Elite player or at least a potential up and coming elite player. I am sure you can name plenty as well as myself. However the NYK have Zero.

I know that all last season he couldn't hit water from a boat.....Last I checked this was a BASKETBALL game not a Psych ward. It's nice that someone was able to tough personal situations out. Has little to do with who I want this team to feature on the court.

So you're gonna hafta explain how Q having a tough time makes him the man on the Knicks, when he completly blew chunks last year. Cause you dun make any sense at all.

Q actually put EFFORT into playing defense last year. When his offensive game wasn't clicking he was out there busting his ass on defense, which is a lot more than most Knicks players can say. For that reason, he did not "blow chunks." ATleast he attempted to earn his salary.

He did blow chunks. How many more wide open shots did he have to brick for you to see that? It's nice he put in the effort and he'll get a gold star for that in kindergarten, but he wasn't a stellar defender either last season.

compared to the rest of NY guards, Q was stellar and actually gave effort in this department.

Q hurt his back. Q hurt his ankle. He played hurt all year and didn't complain about injuries. He sucked on offense but still brought it on D. Never gave up. Never spoke out against management or coach.

Dude lost a brother and had his father shot. Had a bad falling out with Brandy. That last bit is not really a good enough excuse to play poorly but we are all human and can understand it.

I want players who compete against all odds cause those are the ones that are potential championship calibar players.

I love DLee and Qrich, but you can't build a team around role players. Craw, Curry, Nate, Balkman, Jefferies are all keepers, too. Curry is a guy you build around. I think with DLee and Qrich, you have two hustling defenders who will make Curry look good.

Frye is the only major question mark for me right now. He has not looked right since returning from his injury and that worries me.
