All I know is if he keeps this up it's going to be a long season

I don't know if that is true. I think Crawford should be a 6th man. Instant offense. If he is playing good, play the sh!t out of him. If he is playing bad, we have other guards who can contribute.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

shooters always have off nights... he's going to make some of those big shots he took down the stretch in other games this year & you're going to wanna name your firstborn after him... that's what he is, a streaky shooter...

1 thing i have to love about him is the fact that he kept playing hard even when his shots weren't falling... he made some huge defensive plays down the stretch that helped this team win last night... Jamal is 1 guy who's courage & heart i never have to question on this team... yes, he'll make u wanna pull ur hair out at the roots at times, but i still see a steady improvement in his overall game every time i see him play.

Ooh ahh jumping off the Crawford bandwagon. Why don't you give him credit for making the steal at the end. You are a hater. If that was a Marbury steal you would be singing his praises but since it's Crawford the steal wasn't as good. Go root for the Nets.

Sound familiar?

That being said, I agree with you that it is maddening to watch Craw play. He has so much talent but seems to not have a clue about shot selection. I'm afraid to see him regress. Part of his problem is that every team he's been on he's been allowed to take whatever shot he could get. Last year was the first time he's been asked to be disciplined. I'm curious to see if he can find a way to fit in Isiah's offense without losing his way. IF he does he can have a big year.

Isn't it nice to be able to talk about a players strengths and weaknesses without it turning into whether a person is a hater or not? The first part of my post was a joke of course, but I think I make a good point. Why is it okay to talk about Craw's strengths and weaknesses and poor shot selection but we aren't allowed to do that about Marbs or Curry or some of the others without getting called haters for it? I'm just curious. Are there certain players on the team who we can only talk about their strengths? This is a fascinating human study. Any psychology majors want to touch this one?

There is some difference between an off night and a shooter being a shooter vs. bad habits. Bad habits are always gonna equal bad results- Craw doesn't have to be as inconsistent if he loses the bad habits.

Someone said it last night, maybe blueseats

The only thing consistant about Crawford is his inconsistancy.

This is sad, but true.

I may be wrong about this but I think JC was playing mostly at SG last night. Last year he played primarily at PG. The year before he played SG.

I think he's at his best when he's asked to create and distribute. I think Crawford is at his worst when he's greenlighted to shoot. That;s when we get these ill timed, off balanced chucks.

Whether he's best for the team at PG may be debatable, but I don't think it's really debatable that he's at HIS best at PG.

I can't believe "you guys" last week Jamal Crawford was "clutch" and the savior of the franchise. Now today after just one bad game, he's just some inconsistent chucker. I just cant take "you guys" any more.

"we guys" agree with you. It's been one game. Last night was a tough one for him. Although I didn't liek what I saw I'll give him a few games before I say it's a problem again. That being said, it just goes to prove how most people here only think about offense because the clutchest(if that's a word) play of the night was the steal he made at the end.

I think his game winning shot is now to be expected. Three chances and he couldn't pull it off. He's thinking about it now. Once you start thinking about it, you can't pull the trigger.
I'll never trust this' team again.

Or forget about it and then come up with a hit the next time. I'm sure he's not anywhere near rattled and wants to take those shots just as much as 2 days ago. I still want him taking them.

That's because he always wants to shoot, regardless of the time on the clock and regardless of whether he's off balance and unlikely to score.
