I pronounce Isiah Thomas "lord of the dance". For one night at least. These topics are so weird.

The team still needs to cut down on the turnovers. That is how the Grizzles got back into the game. Our offense looks decent. It still needs work, but I think we will be able to score. I was really encouraged by Marbury. He took care of the ball for the most part and did not disappear in the clutch. He has to realize that it is his job to lead this team and take the pressure off of the young guys. I am glad to see for at least one game, he was willing to do that. This victory will probably be more beneficial to the team than if we had blownout Memphis. At the end, you could really see the players starting to get mad and raise the intensity level and FIGHT when they saw the Griz weren't going to just let them win. Overall, a good game and IT deserves credit for getting to team ready for this type of battle.

For the rest of the year I say everytime we win we assume that Isiah gets credit. Everytime we lose we can assume that Isiah is the anti-christ. We'll just base it on individual games instead of waiting for a legitimate body of evidence.

I wish he would make these guys give Frye the ball when he has position, but his substitution patterns and the style of game he created looked good with these players.

That's what I think.

Dude, it was 1 game against a shorthanded team that they should have dominated.

one thing i liked that LB did was not calling a timeout before the last shot of a half or game or OT. catch the defense off guard, maybe get the matchup we want on jamal (i.e. not the 6'9 athletic guy) or find an open guy like nate to knock down the shot. especially with a guy like fratello in the other huddle, we could be better off pushing the other team and not giving them time to think.

NOT trying to compare coaches. just wondering if people like that one particular strategy.

Masterplan, i only like that strategy if we have some heady players on the floor who operate well under pressure & make the right pass or the right play (like a Brevin Knight or Chris Paul)... we don't have a player like that... Jamal has no problems taking up any shot that's open to him, but we don't have an orchestrator who can get his teammates a good look during a huge possession... Francis, Nate & Marbury all look to score on last minute possessions & only dish off when every other avenue is shut off, which usually results in a bad turnover or the other teammate getting the ball in a bad spot to get off a shot.

give the knicks credit. they showed heart staying in the game when they could have folded like they did all last season. How often do we see the Knicks pull out that type of game? ENJOY IT!! Yes, the Knicks played a little sloppy...but they played well at times and just have to learn to do it for 48 mins. Good things from this game: Q got his groove back, Curry was so spicy, he had Warrick sporting that "my butt is burnin' look", David Lee showed that he needs more playing time, Steph was solid.
It starts with Zeke...he WILL change the attitude in the locker room & on the floor and that will translate into wins. To be honest, I have been anticipating this season almost more than any in the past. The Knicks will be in the playoffs....and they will make noise in the East. This year, Zeke will get them to play to their potential. Rather than trying to make them conform to a "system", he will make them play to their strengths.
Oh, what the hell is wrong with Steve "Franchise"?? This guy has all the talent in the world. A dame shame if he continues this type of play.
I know Crawford has hit some game winning shots in the past, but you miss one....time to give someone else a chance...how about Steph?
However, i did like how they wouldn't call a timeout before last second shots last season. it seemed to work more times than it failed.

I'll give him credit for getting the team to show resiliancy and fight ... I don't think he's got his rotations settled yet.

Only way some fans give Isiah credit will be if this team wins around 50 games and a playoff series. Otherwise no matter what this team does that could be construed as positive it will be considered an illusion.

Why do some people think that Isiah deserves credit for giving us a team that we hope, after 3 1/2 years, can equal the win-loss record of Layden's last full year?

Why do some insist on only seeing the negatives in everything that Isiah or the Knicks do?

It's all a matter of perspective.

Because the negatives during Isiah's tenure have far outweighed the positives.

Now answer my question.

They did dominate for a lot of the game. There were PLENTY of positives Isles.

back to Isiah, I like the moves he made down the stretch, especially taking Frye out and putting Lee in.

I did not like so much going to Crawford when he was ice cold. The problem with Crawford is he can only think about shoooting or passing, but he cannot seem to think about both. He never would have made that Alley-oop pass that Q threw to Lee.

While he did not coach a perfect game, he made the moves he needed to.

I haven't been here for that long. Is your beef with Isiah strictly basketball? I have a thing about hiring guys who kicked our asses in the past, but once he is here, I feel I have to pull for him.

oohah,

I believed from Day 1 that Isiah was an incompetent as an executive and I think he's a disgrace as a human being which would only hurt the organization.
