Mr. Frye needs to play with Curry and Marbury and start developing the rapport with his teammates he never got to develop last year. His D will get better when he can trust his teammates and learn what spots he needs to get to. He's gonna take his lumps, but we will be better for it.

I agree, if Frye and Curry are our front court of the future, then they need to be on the floor together. Right now DLee is the better fit, but I wonder if he has the potential the Frye does. I think right now we have to grind it out and hope they get better playing together.

He's the guy that many thought would be rookie of the year last year. He is an outstanding athlete from Syracuse's program. He has great talent.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

I can't believe "you guys". Last week you said Frye was gonna threaten to make some noise this season. Now you're saying he should be benched. "You guys" crack me up.

From what I saw last night both Frye and Lee need to improve their defense and rebounding. Lee did not look as lost as Frye did, but he made some mistakes on defense. Overall, both did a decent but not good job on defense. I am still trying to determine whether Frye is a center or a PF. Sometimes I think he lacks the lateral quickness needed to guard PF and then sometimes it looks like he can guard them. If he bulks up, I think he might be a better center than PF. The problem I see with starting lee is that the second unit is really a running team. Lee is the perfect PF for that unit, and having him and Crawford coming in fresh really gives the team a boost. At this point, I think Frye should be given time to see if he can find his game. It was clear to me that he was frustrated out their last night. I would give him 5-10 games to see if he improves. If not, start Lee at PF and let Frye play backup center/PF.

I know you didn't. I was just being obnoxious. That's why I included the smiley.

Because he knows that if he gives up the ball, he ain't getting it back.

it actually looked to me like it was a called play... he spotted up in the corner beyond the 3 pt line & was calling for the ball when the G ran the ball upcourt (i forget if it was Jamal, Nate or Steve)... that made no sense whatsoever.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

I'd agree with you but what kind of idiot coach would do something like that?

I would take you serious if you based your opinion on more than one game for chrissakes.

we are talking Frye, right? The guy who has played 1 year and 1 game? That usually gives people enough sample size.

I don't think he's basing his opinion on last year - Frye won rookie honors. Everyone in New York was calling for Frye to get more minutes

The "I know, I know, its only one game," gave him away, Martin

Dont lump me into that "everyone" statement. I've been calling for Lee to start since late last year.
