Dolan in his interview with Zeke by his side said that Larry "begged" for him...Do I need to find it now???
Lets see that interview took place right after Larry Brown was fired and most every New York Knick fan was pissed off with those 2 trades. Yeah Dolan is really going to blame them on the guy sitting next to him and NOT the guy he just fired. Gullible.

We traded For Rose for the #20 draft pick. If Larry Brown wanted him or not I don't know. But I know we got the #20 pick in the draft for him. So we basically spent 17mil for the #20 draft pick which turned out to be Balkman. Denver also almost missed the playoffs last season and we almost came away with a lottery pick. Untill they came on strong at the end of the yr.

$16 mil for jalen's salary $16 mil for jalen's luxury tax
so dolan paid $32 mil for balkman, of which only $16 mil effects the cap

Well, I'm not going to say flat out he's lying, I just don't think that neither one of us can really believe what he's saying, no matter whose side we are going to take. You have to think he was going to cover his tracks and the gm/coach's track who is still employed for the Knicks.

Why would he do that when Larry can easily step in front of a mike and say he is lying..Lord Knows the Larry lovers here would eat that all up...Since when is Larry shy about expressing whats on his mind to the press?

Thats where I disagree with you, why is Larry going to say anything about the Knicks (positive or negative) when he's on trial with them trying to get the rest of his contract that James Dolan signed him too. You don't say anything in the press.

why do the Knicks bother to have a GM if LB was here? Doesn't Isiah do anything or was he just a yes-man for LB?

He ended up overpaying for a draft pick. Then again we don't know if Brown was begging for Rose or not. So that move was a poor move.
But I don't believe waiving him is a poor move. Other than an enigma with a long contract. Or a contract with 2-3yrs left with close to the same amount and a mid draft pick. The state of the Knicks around the league is we are a laughing stock. Nobody is going to give us value back. Why would they give us a J'Oneal or KG when they can stay away from us and keep us in the gutter. But if they do want to give us those players they are going to want EVERY asset we have and keep us in the gutter. I don't truley see us getting anything back at the deadline worthwhile. Especially at 16.9mill. We had a better shot at value with Taylor's 9 mil than Rose's 16.9.
The only contract we should be focusing on actually trading is Francis. I can't name Marbury since there is no way any GM takes his contract or James contract. We should be working a Francis for Eddie Jones trade until the deadline. Give Francis his mins, talk about how great he has been, how much he has matured, yada, yada, yada. Hopefully win some games. And then make a deal with his value high.
Im thinking Isiah wanted to get rid of any players that he has the option to get rid of that might be a distraction throughout his season.

What kills me in all this is how coy Larry played with in the trades for Francis and Rose...Like he didn't have anything to do with it..Like he knew the collective fan base would be upset at the trades and he wanted Zeke in front of the train...

Larry Brown has the clout that most coaches don't have in this league...When a hall of fame coach like Larry Brown steps into your office and says these are the players I need to turn this losing season around you give it to him...It seems like Isiah was not in agreement because Dolan said Brown came to him begging for these players...So, obviously either Isiah didn't sign off on this...Reezy also said Brown was behind the trade not Isiah...Water under the bridge...It just amazes me the Larry lovers here just cannot accept that fact...

not for nothing but all the lb backers last year don't bring him up anymore. it's all the anti-larry guys that keep harping on him. let it go...i have.

I'd like to know what his buyout came to because Mo Taylor was not bought out he was just waived. The Knicks pay the difference between what Mo signed with the Kings vs what he's owed for his 06-07 salary. I surely hope the Knicks came to at least a 40% buyout because if not.... Oh my is this ridiculous.
You honestly think that Jalen accepted 40 cents on the dollar? Paid in Full. Just like Larry will soon be.
Honestly you don't want to know what I think they bought him out for...."I'm telling you it would be very scary."
Let's see. Let's count the buyouts so far:
Larry Johnson Luc Longley Allan Houston Larry Brown and now Jalen Rose
Just insane it is! How does Dolan do it? Millions and millions to burn. What a waste.
