All I can say is good riddance, to all who said Thomas traded assets wtf was he going to get with those bloated contracts. 2 why is it such a bad idea of letting a guy go who has no place on the team. Malik is next, I hope via trade.

Also it now means that $62M will be coming off the cap this year.

Taking 62M off the cap usually puts teams way under the cap. This lowers us to where we were about 5 years ago. 30M ABOVE the cap.

Can't please some of you. Keep Jalen and you'll bitch about the hypothetical trade Isiah might make.
Buy him out and you complain about the hypothetical trade he can no longer make.

Blinded by hate.

Actually, it think it will be more like 90 mm b/c Hoopshype doesn't count the salaries for Jefferies and 1 or 2 other guys for next year.

It doesn't count Curry, Jefferies, and I guess whatever rookie and FA signings we'll have next year and it does include the team option for JYD, so I'll graciously assume we'll be what, $87,000,000ish next season?

We're definitely gonna have to do something about this Francis/Marbury situation. I am not huge fans of either player, but it's looking like Francis has much higher value. If things are similar to pre season, then Francis will have a much better season and he's making 10M less, total, than Marbury.

This is why I think Isiah needs to be gone now. He can't even make trades right now, and we need a competant GM to dangle Francis, especially if Francis has a real good season.

Francis or Marbury for Eddie Jones at the trade deadline. That would take off another $16-$20 million after this year.

Despite playing only four preseason games (42 minutes total) and taking just two shots (he went (0-for-2), Rose never complained all camp, and said he had no problem with how Thomas had handled his situation."It's not about me," he said recently. "It's about the team. I have complete faith in Isiah that whatever he does will be in the best interests of the team."

Got to give it to Rose. Also got to give it to Isiah for making him understand.

removing a loaded gun from isiah's hands is a good thing.

it also means isiah changed his "philosphy" once again about using expiring deals.

it also means, two down, three to go on the illustrious coach catheter "waive" list.

it also means that isiah spent an extra $20 mil on mo taylor, an extra $32 mil on jalen rose, gave a 2nd round pick up and the net result is renaldo balkman. but that's more an indication of dolan's stupidity allowing such useless spending.

If Im David And I see Isiah calling his franchise player a pu$$y, and dumping players like Larry asked, one migh conclude Larry was not that wrong.

Cato a no show! Hopefully Zeke changed his mind on him and will reach out to Justin Williams.

As far as Rose goes, IDK. He doesn't have a place on this team, but something could open up by the trading deadline (KG anyone.)

How about Qyntell Woods?

Athletic, younger, energenic, can contribute better defensively, and finish on the offensive end in an up tempo offense.

I'd take Justin Williams, Qyntel Woods or Pittsnogle for Jalen's spot - probably in that order.

Maybe jalen is being bought out cuz he was out of shape and clearly not a good fit. Jalen said that he wasn't looking for his shot and various other things that old guys say when they are looking at the last days of their careers.

Again why don't yall let this hate go already. You sound like my kids mother. Stop looking for a reason to get mad. If isiah, marbs and whoever else were to get fired, traded, or killed what would be the the problem?

Watch a game and come up with an opinion. Hate mongers I tell you! Isiah is doing some good things as coach. The knicks aren't perfect and if anything the golden boy frye is the one that should be getting some fire!

How can the knicks get better with the offense and identity isiah is trying to develop? Moving forward we can have fun debating. All this hate is ridiculous. It a lynching every damn day! Get off it already.
