if your boss told you have one year to make it happen what would you do ?

Dump Marbury.

Keep Butler.

Start Crawford, Francis, Lee, Frye, Curry

yeah, right. everyone LOVED Francis before the pre-season. just like ESPN "analysts" this is after the fact revision/reaction.

not speaking for anyone else, but i've been a loud proponent of dumping Marbury since even before Francis got here, & i still am... i would much rather go w/Francis & Craw in the backcourt this season than Marbury & Francis until we can unload Francis' contract at the Allstar break (hopefully)... i don't know how many times i've said it in the past that Marbury is clearly not a part of the solution for this team to achieve its ultimate goal of winning a championship... he has to go for this team to progress to the next level imo.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

I agree TMS. Much like Antoine Walker had a grip on the Celtics franchise and thats the reason Ainge dumped him. Marbury has such a firm grip on this franchise it's ridiculous and he's never even won anything to earn that grip. He has to go for the Knicks to move forward.

If Isiah lottery protects his picks the Knicks end up with Curry and the #2 pick. But that wasn't a mistake of course.

the only mistake in that equation is hiring Larry Brown to coach the team. really, that's been Isiah's big flaw. the team is fine, the coaches, other than Lenny Wilkens, have been a joke.

What the? Not defending Isiah or Marbury here, but the Celtics were 16 games under last year while Antoine helped Miami win the NBA title! I must have missed your point.

Ainge said it himself.

"Antoine had a grasp on our franchise," said Ainge. "If Antoine is Michael Jordan, it's OK to have a grasp. If Antoine is Larry Bird, it's OK to have a grasp, or Bill Russell. I think those players had grasps on their franchises. Shaquille O'Neal has a grasp on the Los Angeles Lakers. But I didn't perceive Antoine's grasp on us as a positive thing."

Walker is the classic example of a frontrunner. When things are going well, he's right there playing great, but when when things are going bad, he's creating all kinds of problems.

Walker is the perfect third or fourth potato. He's a horrible first or second potato.
