Bynum is better than Curry.

There is no question about that. Bynum is an absolute monster on the floor, he overpowers everyone and he has ZERO weight problems. If we never traded for Curry that means Bynum could be starting at center and Ty Thomas starting at PF. Man thats a nice frontline.

Frye is good but he doesnt have bynum upside to carry teams. i mean he's not 19 until tomorrow-- frye and curry are 5-years older and he might be better NOW.

by the way, no matter what anyone thinks or what type of homer you are Marcus Williams was a top 3 talent and no matter+ the f excuse was to not pick him--was wrong. balkman could be a good player, but you dont let a skill player like that go by we'll regret that one too. mainly because we all know we wouldve had both players and the fact that marcus already has NBA all star skills

I agree 100% Briggs. Theres no reason to compound mistakes that Isiah has made with this roster by skipping on playmakers like Marcus Williams in the draft. Yeah Balkman is nice and fills a CURRENT need but Marcus Williams is going to be a All-Star PG for years to come and someone who can lead a team. MISTAKE.

Martin, I think what you mean is Dolan will never let you dump games ON PURPOSE.

Caz we've been in the lottery like 4 out of the past 5 years.

Why do you think Larry Brown did what he did? B/c he knew the only way was by rebuilding, and Dolan eventually picked up on it and fired his ass.

No all Brown cared about was the destruction of Thomas and Marbury. Even if Larry had the Championship Pistons and pulled the crap he did last year, they would loose too. Gimmie a break already Larry Brown is not a coaching god, he is a spoiled bitchy old fart who is as shady as they come. So he won a couple of championships on different levels I can respect that, but to be blindly saying he didn't get a chance to run his system or whateva is utter BS. His job was to coach the frickin team, it could be made up of frickin midgets for all I care, just do the job he was paid to do and there wouldn't have been any problems. The problem is he didn't, he bitched and moaned all year and bash players. How would you feel if your boss comes in every day and called you an asshat, this what he did and then expect them to run through walls for him. The fact is he was paid to do a job and he didn't so screw him.

I'll make a decision on Bynum v. Curry and Frye in a few months. Exhibition games mean nothing.

Interesting, so we could have a team of, say:

C-Bynum
PF-Ty Thomas
SF-Jared Jeffries
SG-Jamal Crawford
PG-Stephon Marbury

Bench:
C-Jackie Butler
PF-David Lee
SF-Trevor Ariza
SF-Renaldo Balkman (29th pick)
SG-Quentin Richardson
SG/PG-Nate Robinson
PG-Marcus Williams

2007 1st round draft pick that doesn't have to be swapped with Bulls

That's a significantly better team. Hmmm...
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Undo the Marbury deal and we probably could have had Igoudala too.

Nope. A better all around better player then Curry. Needs to work on the D, but hey, he hasn't even entered his second year yet (Same with Frye btw.) Wont say he's currently better than Frye, but Bynum seems to be able to do anything Curry can do and better and more. He had some quite impressive and smooth passes out of double teams today (Only to have teammates miss their shots.) and I saw him make a nice backdoor too. He seems to know how to play. He competes hard and looks to be in great shape.

Bynum has the build of a beast. Major Talent. So did Luther Wright. Let's see if he can replicate in the regular season.

I'm neither. I'm a sample size lover, and as of now the sample is way to small to make some of the evaluations that too many people on this thread have made.

You guys rally like to inflict pain on yourself don't you.

If you start goign over all the things the Knicks have done wrong, there is no end to that list.

I don't even bother with all the crap anymore. All of this shiat is out of our control.

Just wate for the season already. Moaning about how this and that guy we should have had is not one of ours is just putting salt ona fresh wound. This is not good for our pcychie lol.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

Agreed. If we had drafted Bynum and Marcus Williams, we had the cornerstone for a possible championship team.

I really dont understand the point of doing this. You guys are stomping on any hope optimistic fans have. If we hadn't signed Houston to that multi-year contract, if we hadn't turned down crawford for Vince Carter, if he hadn't traded Ewing and let him expire, blah blah.

Vince Carter looks better than any guard we had. 70% of this forum was against that. Why dont we talk about how good he has been? This is ****ing bull****. A nice way to kill the happy hope I had last night.

OK Brggs,
I think I'm going to be sick. I sort of had the Bynum thing in the back of my mind. Yeah, to think of the team we could have had... no Curry and Isiah would have probably drafted someone special (with his eye for talent) in last years draft. I remember I was a bit upset he passed on Bynum but as the season wore on last year I was happy with how Frye played. Ok, he's had a bad pre season but remember how F'n good he was (on offense) last year? Different players though.
NO MORE TRADES ISIAH, DO WHAT YOU DO BEST AND JUST DRAFT. (Except for the Bynum slip... we'll see).

At least I have sollice (It's just a game ;)

Does anyone believe that Bynum will be some great impact player this year or even before another couple of years?

Guys need to give it a rest. If Bynum were here he would be savaged because he did not turn into Shaq in one season, and they would be ragging on Isiah for picking him too! BYNUM IS LUCKY HE DID NOT GET PICKED TO PLAY IN NYC!!!!

The evidence? Frye is getting his ass peeled around here and he was one of the best rookies in the league last year and he looks like he has improved his strength, which everyone was crying about!

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

this is painfull... Bynum didnt have a turnover last night. Not one. And he plays mean and tough.

Meanwhile back at the ranch Steven Hunter is blocking Frye's dunks and Curry gets 2 rebounds.
