Exhibition games only count when players the Knicks could have had do well, or when players the Knicks have suck.

How dare anyone see anything positive about the team or any of its players!

Anyway, I don't know what you mean. Are you trying to say have I made some outlandish claims of success?

nixluva, I thought you had a nice intelligent post until...
We're just getting started and people already want to jump ship and pronounce Larry as right about this team. CAN THEY PLAY A FREAKIN REGULAR SEASON GAME FIRST BEFORE WE RIGHT THEM OFF? GEEZ!!!

There are more anti Knick posts on this forum than anywhere else on the web. I've never seen so many guys who CLAIM to be Knick fans, so ready to give up on the team. Guys love to crack jokes about the team like they root for some other team or something. I just don't understand the mentality at all.

Geeze louise, who is more inconsistent, you or Eddie Curry?

not at all. we need more positive posters like you to respond to the "negative nancys" like myself. debate is a good thing. if there aren't opposing views or everybody just said "let's wait and see", then there's no point to these boards.

Caseloads "Its clear to me that Larry might have been right"

WAY TO TAKE A STAND!!!!

Implicitly, its also clear to you that he might have been wrong.

What is it that he might have been right about?
Needing Jalen Rose and Francis?
Waiving 8 players?
Giving Malik Rose starters minutes?
His record-setting lineups?
DNPing D. Lee after he played great?
Telling the players one thing and then telling the press another?

what exactly is it that he might have been right about again?

I still would have liked to have seen what Larry could have done this time around. We obviously have a problem with defense and I think Larry was trying to straighten that part out, and it's un-finished. The problem is, I think Zeke is a good offensive coach and Larry is a good defensive coach, but we can only have one.

The NBA is changing all their rules to emphasize offense- no more foreman above the block, no 2 hands, etc.

Larry wanted to build the 90's knicks and that team would not do well in today's game.

Offense, speed and quickness.

There might still be problems with our D, but I am looking forward to a season where we can actually score points and run offense that isn't a grind it, dribble it out offense.

Motion and Passing, how Old School!

If Larry really wanted to get rid of Marbury, he wouldn't have ripped him in the press and ruined his value. He would have set him free, made him happy, got him 20 & 8 and went to isiah and said, we can't win with this guy, - look at our record- youth is the way to go, lets trade him.

It's clear to me that...
