If Eddy can be a 16/8 guy who can play 30 min a night ill be happy. I know hes young, and I really hope that hell somehow turn out to be a great player, but I just dont believe thats likely anymore. What he does bring is a legit low post threat, something that is not very common these days.

Isiah needs to get this guy in shape, somehow teach him to not bring the ball down to his knees, and then he can be a contributer. But I dont expect him to be the next Shaq.

honestly, I'd take a 20/6 guy and compliment him with strong guard play and FryeLee chipping in 20/20 (yep, 20 effing 20).

where does this rank in the "talk to your players via the media" list?

is it above or below the "delusional" comments?

If stern looked at the media spewed by Isiah and Marbury he might award larry $100 million!

Thomas was very nice calling Eddy a freaking ***** in the press. Larry called him the Franchise!

Works both ways. Larry wanted Isiah fired, so does half of NY!

Wait, I thought you weren't allowed to talk to your players via the media?

I think in the grand scheme of things, it works to the Knicks advantage to see how the refs are going to call him as early in games as possible.

If they don't call any ticky tack fouls and let the big boy play, that's a 25/10 game no worries...if they call him for 2 quick fouls...HELLO LEE!

win win baby...I'm all about the win win today.

Isiah should stop worrying about his own job and bring Patrick and Oakley on board to work with Curry and Frye. Does he? No. We have 6 foot 5 inch Mark Aguire to teach these guys how to rebound and shot block
I LOVED how Curry just exploded in the 4th, speaking as a fan of the Raptors, Curry looked well, scary I think is the word. Or Shaq-like Curry: 19.1ppg-7.3rpg-58%fg

djsunyc, nalod, ilesfan and joec, Isiah actually SPOKE to Eddy directly and the media asked him what he was speaking to him about. There's a difference. If you remember LB NEVER spoke to Ariza, Steph, Mo etc. directly. He only spoke to them thru others or the media. There's a HUGE difference in that.

Nice try tho :)

Is there anything wrong with Curry that a new sneaker or his own TV show can't fix?

i guess isiah must've said something like this "hey eddy. stop playing like a pansy...and i'm going to tell the whole world that you're playing like a pansy. any problems with that?"

And last year Isiah had a private meeting with Steph where he told him to act like a man cuz his wife and kids were watching.

Amazing how many "private" conversations the press finds out about.

You either have that fire inside of you to be the best or you don't. Shaq had it. Ewing had it. Curry doesn't have it.

That's not a knock on Curry, that's just who he is. The NBA highway is littered with physically gifted players who didn't have what it takes to be great.

Instead of trying to make him what he isn't, a dominant franchise player, why don't they try to optimize what he is, a complementary post player.

usually, when somebody makes a change in their outlook, personality, etc...and it's drastic, it's b/c of some life altering event. could be something like getting fired, being in a car crash, a death of someone close, etc. so far, this kid has been babied his entire nba life. and then given a $60 mil contract on top of that. there's NO PRESSURE for this kid to change. and if it's not coming from within now, then it probably won't until he experiences a dramatic event. and even then it's not guaranteed.

this is more about eddy as a person and competitor. and this is what frustrated bulls fans to no end. if you're happy with a guy that sometimes shows up and sometimes doesn't, then that's cool. but in terms of the knicks, and the ultimate goal of trying to win a title, these kind of players don't usually fit in or help the cause. and it doesn't help that the rest of the roster is fragile as well.

40+ transactions and we're still looking for an oncourt leader, a lockerroom leader and a franchise player. it's tough to support isiah and what's he doing with this team and eddy curry is a great example of it.

All its takes for Curry is a little confidence and consistency...He just needs the confidence that he knows he has to be reckoned with when he steps on the court...It can happen...If Clay Aiken can pull it off, anyone can...

Does that mean Curry is going to need plastic surgery and hire a stylist too?

from what i hear, he's going to grow a stubble and wear a stetson hat on the court. francis suggested chaps as well but the rest of the team convinced him otherwise.
