Lets not make an issue of him trying to start a talk show, his personality isn't inviting, he doesn't speak clearly and is dumb as a rock; he is going to make the magic hour look like the tonight show.

He said he was the best pg in the league and howd that work out for him, something he actually has done his whole life and still doesn't have a clue how to truly play this game; so let him make a further mockery of our franchise; half of you don't seem to care anyway always coming to Isiahs, Curry's and Steph's defense

Remember when Steph was given a long run on the mike during a summer league game. By the end Gus Johnson was trying to save him from embarassing himself and I think he had an argument with Clyde. I can't imagine there are any offers for this talk show. Maybe he will form his own broadcasting company, Starbury, and post his creative endeavors on YouTube.

I think a Marbury TV Show would be very entertaining.

His show will not be dumber as any other.
TV shows are dumb by definition so he should be OK
He is entertainer... more a comedian.
I think a lot of people around NBA and not only will come over to make fun of him for his money
To me he can actually do whatever he wants as soon as he will be far away from the Knicks

Who cares what he does in his offtime? I thought he wasnt even the centerpiece of the team anymore. Isnt that what the marbury haters wanted?
Do you want him to act like the centerpiece of the team when he isnt? Did he miss a practice to shoot the test shows for his lame talk show? Does selling sneakers make him less a ball player? (Tho it would have been nice if had come to camp early i admit)

But cmon man give the guy a break.

Off time? Did you miss the part where he didn't come to camp early because he was concentrating on his shoe line?

camp early? I thought he was at camp ON TIME......there was an OPTIONAL invite to attend camp early that he decline...is that what you're talking about? the OPTIONAL early camp??

PRactice? Practice? We talking about practice?- the only one who can say that is Iverson. That optional invite was an opportunity to learn this new system that is easy/hard to learn depending on the day of the week. It was his opportunity to show that he can be a leader on this team or at the very least that he cares about changing what happened last year. Isiah Thomas-Steph's supposed mentor- invited all these guys early so they can learn to play together. If Marbury was even resting, fine, but he was promoting a freaking shoe line!

Come on man, for someone who wants to prove last season was an abberation and not his fault he sure seems preoccupied with things off the court.

Yeah it would have been good if he showed up early.

But keep in mind, it would have been SHOWING UP EARLY. Its not as if he showed up late. Its not as if hes giving the coaching staff problems. Its not as if he showed up out of shape. Many teams have an optional pre-training camp. Why is only marbury getting ripped for not showing up?

I understand that. But this is the story of Steph. He does just enough to get by and say he is good or whatever but never wants to do that extra mile.

And about the other players not showing up early you're right. The whole team should have been there. But it seems Marbury is the one that is most distracted-and now we see he worked this summer on a TV Show, and we knew about his shoes- and he is one of our best and most important players(as much as it pains me to say that). Another reason is these young Knicks are looking up to Steph. We learned that last season he is a big influence on the young guys.

This is not just about Steph not being here. This is about dedication to the team.

Youre right he should have been there. But what can you do. Steph is obviously not a superstar, or a leader.

He is our best point guard. He can still hit an open shot. He can get to the hole at will. He can get to the line at will. I havent seen him dominating the ball for some time now. But what can you do. Youre dogging a guy for not acting like the best player out there. Hes not. So just except the fact that hes a good player and ignore him when he says hes the best. Hes just not that leader that we need.

steph's role on this team is slowly being downgraded. almost to the point where he can be replaced with a guy making less than 1/2 what he makes. but i think blueseats is taking the stance that his presence off the court far outweighs it on the court. and if that's the case, then even if he is our best on court player, we may be better off without him.

Once again, I would do that if he didn't act like that. He's like Sprewell-He wants to be a leader but wants no responsibility.

Buying the rookies suits is a leadership act. It is a follow me act. A nice guy buys you one suit. He bought the rookies several. That was a great gesture. A leadership gesture. And obviously they took his lead. Whether he wants it or not, these guys are gonna follow him and he is gonna shape them.

I dont really have a problem with the way he acts. What did he do, say he was the best point guard in the nba TWO years ago? Cmon man he has only said the right things lately.

This team is SOOO desperate for leadership and like no one else he is given opportunity after opportunity to fill the void but he runs from it like like a bullet, all the while making promises and talking about championships. Then he goes on another round of self promotion about non-basketball projects and careers. It's totally incongruous and distracting.

If marbury is to be a leader of this team then we expect the best from him, which he has not given. If he's to be anything less then he should get out of the spotlight and blend in. But shoe deals, TV shows, he's "the best", his ashes on the Garden, one-on-one against Kidd, basketball is a hobby, winning at life... I can't take it.

Nobody cares Steph. if you want to be the big man on campus shut yer trap and put the team first for a change.
