TMS, you're right that you cannot trade Curry or Frye for Pietrus. Just not smart trading. i just think Pietrus gives us the same things that Jared Jefferies & to some extent, Balkman does... Crawford gives this team something none of the other guys do, which is big shot making ability & versatility at the G position... anyway, i don't think GS would ever make that trade because of Jamal's longterm contract, so to make it work you'd have to throw in some other desirable parts, like Balkman, which i am unwilling to do... even if we were to sign a guy like, say Kareem Rush, to take Jamal's spot at the backup SG, i don't know that the trade would necessarily improve this team going forward

it's close... neither team would be really all that much better to contend in the future imo... the guy we need to get rid of is either Marbury or Francis.


a Malik & Nate for Pietrus straight up deal would be the ideal... then sign Jay Will & let him fight it out w/Collins for the 12th man spot:
