I wish the knicks had carmelo now!

Carmelo is like those forwards from the 80s. Like aguirre, Bernard king. I think carmelo has a lot of Bernard in him. Carmelo plays with that attack mentality, but hasn't quite mastered his craft. I think once carmelo let's go his ego and approaches the game like a shogun (biting off of a shaq quote), he will be a legendary player in this league.

Same could be said of all the players. I think wade has figured it out already or is very close to it. Lebron is just a freakl but he hasn't crossed over to that "other" status. When he does I think the NBA might have to force him to retire, or give the other team a 20pt handycap every time he plays.

At what positions are this year's Heat team superior to the Kobe/Shaq Laker era?

You asked a question that does not co-incide with your previous post. Try again.

In the previous post I said those Laker teams were more talented than the Heat. You disagreed. So I'm what part you disagree with--that is, in what areas were the Lakers not more talented than the Heat?

The Heat were given the series by the stripes. I can't respect that.

he's not in the elite tier of the NBA G's like Lebron, Wade, Kobe, Iverson, etc.

i'm not sure i can say he's in a different class than Chris Bosh right now, & i certainly wouldn't put Bosh on the same level of NBA bigmen as a Garnett or Dirk.

I think he's a little ahead of Bosh. His teams haven't been as bad as Bosh's and played much better in the world basketball tournament than Bosh.

Just wondering: Who would you draft first knowing what you know now: Bosh or Carmelo? It's tough one for me but I think I'd take 'melo. I usually go for the big man, but I think Carmelo can be a more complete player.

i'd take Bosh... i think he's on the cusp of being on the level of the elite bigmen like KG, Amare & JO.

it's alot easier to get talented swingmen scorers in the draft than it is a guy w/Bosh's ability... i think Bosh brings more to the table w/his shotblocking ability & rebounding than Melo does.

Melo belongs in there with LeBron, Wade and Kobe. LeBron is in his own class. Wade, Kobe well they are just a product of Shaq. We have seen them without Shaq and they are very good but just not as good with Shaq. Melo with Shaq wins titles also. LeBron with Shaq wins titles also. Its just that I think LeBron is going to be the first one out of those mentioned to win a title without Shaq.

Kobe Bryant is the best individual basketball player on the planet. Shaq does not make Kobe.

Stop it, please
