I've been a fan since we went for the first title, I was 6. The next two years featured heartbreaking playoff losses to the Bullets and Lakers, but then we won again! And I've been waiting ever since. I take it as a good sign that Renaldo Balkman is wearing Jerry Lucas's number.

Renaldo Balkman, Mike Sweetney, Maceij Lampe, Slavo Vranes and Trevor Ariza.

According to many posters here ... we'd win the NBA title.

Sheesh.

LOL well I had high hopes for Lampe. :)
I LOVED how Curry just exploded in the 4th, speaking as a fan of the Raptors, Curry looked well, scary I think is the word. Or Shaq-like Curry: 19.1ppg-7.3rpg-58%fg

We need to convince Riley to come back and be our gm and coach. That was the best time for me

Ive supported Isiah for 3 years but I can honestly say I'm really sick and tired of being the JERRY SPRINGER SHOW of the NBA.
I don't know about the Jerry Springer show. But it is definately the Muary Show. With," You are the coach this year, and I am 100% sure there will be no trades."

I'm convinced that Michael Jordan stole at least 2 championships from us. That said, I'm still annoyed at the way Riley faxed it up and went to the enemy. Also, let's not forget all the rule changed and the cotton-candifying of the game. The old-school Thugball Knicks of the 90's that Riley led just wouldn't work in today's game.

That said, I think we should go after the Logo, Jerry West instead. The man responsible for the bulding Lakers 3Peat, despite being led by two guys who flat out hated each other.

agree w/all that... Jerry West, what a dream it would be to have him as our next GM... i may not even mind keeping Isiah as the head coach if that were to happen. (well, until we got rid of Marbury that is)
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

the same thing was said about larry brown.

It's time to look for younger GMs.

The old school isn't cutting it anymore...I mean, if the knicks accomplished what the Grizzlies did, they would be calling for isiah's head.

But hey, he has a resume... blah.

LOL Old school Pat Riley won a championship last season. Pop is as old school as they come won the season before and even LB the year before that. Maybe sometimes old school works?
I'd love Jerry West to be our GM. He would get rid of the thugs and the divas and let our kids grow.

Good stuff Fish...Think that was meant to soften me up a touch...

Not saying that it's ok but seems to be more happening behind the scenes between Greg A and Zeke...Greg might have been lobbying for the job as GM behind Zeke's back...Who Knows...Either way, Isiah's response was bush league...Still can't wait for the season to start so we can concentrate on the X's nd O's...

I've only been a "fan" since the early-mid 90's, I actually hated the Knicks even tho I went to their games and live(d) only 5 blocks away from MSG.

I've only been a diehard fan for about 6 years, before that I follwed Charles Barkley pretty much. The Knicks werent THAT important, in fact I vaguely remember 99.

I'm sure I used to watch alotta games back in the day, I just dont remember. Weird, huh?

Anyway, Isiah is just as bad as Layden, only theyre on different ends of the spectrum. Laydumb did absolutely NOTHING, Isiah's tried doing EVERYTHING. Neither really had a plan, both had no regard for the cap, and they both made pretty crap draft picks (I would've taken Granger over Frye).

lol, *sigh*
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

You would have been ceremoniously bood for that pick...If Frye does a 20 and 10 this year no one will be surprised....The Pacers thought so highly of Granger that they signed Harrington to a long term deal..

Granger is good (Toronto should have taken him), but Frye, being a PF, is a more valuable player and IMO a better player than Granger.

Harrington is a PF and Granger is a SF. The Harrington signing in no way impacts Granger, whom by the way , I COVETED since he was sophmore at New Mexico.

The Knicks should be half as successful as Springer.
