I like to cosign the comments about butler being hand picked out of the cba, signed for guranteed money mind you without playing a NBA game.

Butlers defense was just as bad as curry's. Butler blocked shots sometimes but so did curry. Butler was just as bad at letting guy fly past him for a dunk.

Still butler should still be a knick. Who know what the reason was. Maybe isiah didn't think he was gonna waive Taylor. Everyone talks about the isiah ego, so maybe isiah had a talk with him and didn't like what he had to say so he shandon anderson'ed his ass. Notice Taylor was the only one complaining, so Taylor got bounced. If anything I bet isiah is just as mad as us about losing butler. Guys say the opposite which could be true but why can't something possitive be true as well?

The way I see it, Isiah didn't match Butler because he wanted the full MLE for Jefferies. So in a way there is some trade off of Butler for Jefferies. That's personally not a trade I would have made. While I'm not a huge fan of Jefferies as a player, I do recognize there was a need for him, but there was also a need for Butler. I would have taken the risk of trying to sign Jared at whatever was left of the MLE after signing Butler. If that meant we couldn't get him...then that's ok, we drafted Balkman...

Good point VD. It was either Jared or butler at the time. Butler had signed an offer sheet too so time was ticking. Balkman and Jared are pretty much the same player its just Jared is taller.

I think the knicks are better off the way they are. Jared being injured sucks but he could play a lot of positions. That will help when all of the knicks active bodies get in foul trouble. Hasn't been the case yet but that's why a guy like Jared is valuable. Getting him back will be a plus, but with lee and balkman still around I think the knicks will be ok.

Again Jackie is good but he wasn't gonna be a 20/10/2 monster. He probably would have probably been low on the depth chart, about where Jerome James will be when he comes back.

What are you guys talkig about, hes obviously a franchise center. SIXTH in the league! LOL
Hell be a solid player, but he wont be better than curry will. I guess in five years the proof will be in the pudding

Here is the link to Hollinger basically explaining why his rankings are so f**ked up. What is the point of ranking people when your rankings don't take into account actual player value. Who cares that some dude plays his a** off for five minutes a game. How is that guy ranked higher than Howard when there is only a snow balls chance in h*** that the no-name player is getting more than 5 minutes a game. His whole ranking were a complete waste of his and my time IMHO.
