LMFAO BasketballJones did I not nail the Eddy comparison to Fat Albert? Then you took it to another level with pics related to basketball.

Eddy looks fater than ever and LOL @ the reports he lost 12lbs. Exactly what I said a few days ago about that report being misleading. If a guy started last yr training camp at say 275 lbs and then by the end of the yr blows up to about 295 only to camp back to next seasons training camp at 280, who cares that he shed 12-15lbs because he's still F'N fat. Once again the changing of seasons, particularly the summer will dictate weight loss. The same with winter in regards to weight gain. Everyone should shed some kind of weight over a summer.

I will say Steve looks great, he really does and Kudos to Jamal Captain and Captain Frye.

He lost 12 pounds of muscle (and gained 20 of fat)!
Seriously, though, maybe he's "fat" for an NBA player but it kind of feels strange to use the term fat to describe him. I bet his % body fat is a lot lower than the average American's. I'm probably just nit-picking but if you saw him walking down the street, you'd say "Look at that tall, strong guy" (not "look at that fat guy")

We're definitely exaggerating. You'd say look at that big guy. And he may be doing the best he possibly can to stay a certain size. However, staying in shape is part of what he's supposed to do to collect that nice paycheck he gets. Most americans' jobs don't require any where near the level of physical fitness required to be an NBA player. IOW, we're expecting a lot from Eddy, with good reason.

Crawford doesn't look too different. His neck certainly looks real bulk though. I'm sure he has been working the weights though. Some guys are just wirey like that. Look at Tay Prince. Skinny guy but he's pretty strong.

What disgrace, Eddy needs to be moved, horrible attitude and never commits himself to the game, just like half of this team that is partying there ass off during the seasons and making a joke of the fans. We have welfare centers that just like to collect without working at all, if they both committed themselves we would be a lot to handle down low, but typical Isiah acquisition they do nothing in the offseason...

Q looks like he dropped a few and Balkman is very light no wonder he had that shirt on in college and summer league

It's sad we are even worried about how the players look. I guess that's what losing for 6 seasons will do to you.

Has the idea occurred to anyone that maybe the reports of Curry working hard this summer are true, even if he still looks bulky? Different people have different metabolisms... for all we know, Curry may have worked twice as hard this offseason as Francis, who people seem to think looks good in the media day pics. Curry is likely never going to get exceptionally trim for a center with his frame, for the same reason Crawford will never get bulky for a guy with his frame. Not a big deal as long as he progresses and produces on the court.

He now looks like the second picture.....Has a metabolism ever changed so much in a man between the ages of 22 and 24 with a healthy thyroid?

It's natural to put on weight as you age. There has also been suspicion, though I don't know if it's ever been verified, that Curry was using ephedrine supplements during his last season in Chicago when he was in great shape, which may have contributed to his heart problems.

But regardless of that, the fact is that Curry did put on weight, and so now he's in the position of having the weight and trying to lose it. The comparison between the older Curry pic and the current one doesn't say anything about metabolism if in the older Curry pic he wasn't already trying to dig out of a ditch like he is now.

Bottom line, Curry's conditioning is what it is, but you can't make inferences from that to how hard he worked over the summer. Someone with a natural talent for music might make twice the progress in learning an instrument with half the effort compared to the progress an untalented musician might make, so you can't use musical ability as a hard and fast indicator of how much effort and practice someone has put in. Likewise, even if one considers Curry to be out of shape right now, that doesn't necessarily mean he didn't work his butt off this past summer.

I don't know. Look at his arms. They look almost identical in both pics to me. His face looks thicker in the 2nd picture, but smiling tends to make your cheeks go outward.

What's with the "home team" tattoos that Eddy and Jamal have?

I know. This damn tatoo thing is getting out of hand. They look like a bunch of thugs out there. It's bad enough some of our players don't have any brains!

His arms are alot wider-bro I know people who could swim in those stretchmarks he has now (which come from rapid weight gain and weight loss). If this is the product Grover returned, Curry should ask for a damn refund. He looks absolutely horrible when you compare the 2 pics.

I would venture a guess that Curry is topping 300 again. I looked for about half an hour to get his vitals from 2004(when the first pic was taken), and he was reported at 285 then. There is no way he is 285 now. His whole body is thicker, his face is puffy. His physical appearence just looks really bad when compared just to last season!

You make a good point about most people being in shape as a job requirment. Personally, I'm getting a little tired of hearing and fussing over of all things, Eddie Curry's weight. All I can say is 'he better damn well be in shape, come the start of the season'!
I'll never trust this' team again.
