The only people harping on who's fault steve francis is are the same people rooting against the knicks.

Yeah, and right now that's Marbury and Isiah.

just kidding...

I just got back to the states and have been awake for about 5 hours, i'm sure once my jetlag resumes you'll be posting circles around me.

Luv ya BS.

here is a cool article that I felt was a good read on the situation..
Even though Grunwald was working his cell phone, Thomas maintains that the Knicks are not pursuing deals. That could change before opening night since Thomas has depth at several positions and several players who don't seem to fit into the Knicks' plans.

With the arrival of free agent small forward Jared Jeffries and rookie forward Renaldo Balkman, Thomas may look to trade either Jalen Rose or Quentin Richardson. Thomas also sees second-year power forwards Channing Frye and David Lee as important pieces to the team, which leaves Malik Rose, whom the Knicks tried to deal last year, as potential trade bait.

The theory is that Thomas would be helping himself by removing veteran players who are standing in the way of progress or who could be distractions. But Thomas believes that it is the job of the coach to make it work, which is something Larry Brown didn't do last season.

"I believe in competition," Thomas said. "Competition is good. A little friction and some unhappiness is not bad or uncommon. You have to manage those things as a coach. That's part of coaching and managing your roster."

I like you too hoss, anyone who's self aware enough to define themselves as "kool aid all the time" is A-okay in my book.

What you quote is a good read. But the drection Isiah is going (Balkman, Collins, Jeffries, cutting MoT, etc) are right down LB's path. It just shows they don't even disagree with brown philosophically, they just didn't like him, and his demands to lose Marbury.

Had LB not had to dealt with the unholy alliance between Marbury and Isiah I'm convinced everything else would have fallen in line.

But that is in the past. I thought the team was moving forward, but they way they are dealing with the Francis situation today shows me they are not. They are still pulling last season along with them and it's a very muddy road ahead of us.

You don't have to get playing time to be a leader on the team. Just ask Herb Williams. He was rumored to be the most respected Knick in the lockroom. And that was a team with Oak and Kwing. Malik will only get pt if some players are in foul trouble or injuries. Malik will do just fine being verbal during the timeouts.

even today nazr is a questionable starting center.

Exactly. I'd actually rather have David Lee than Nazry. Balkman may turn out to be more of a throw in and Malik is just there so we can get some good laughs out of a 6'2" PF shooting 32%!

That last line got me laughing.

It helped Herb's clout that he was Ewings best friend, just like it helped Malik by being Duncan's. Here, I doubt he's anybody's friend. He's just another shorty carping for playing time.
