Seriously if you beloved team is constructed the way the success or failure is dependent on how certain players perform personally it's not the reason to support them no matter what.
If I like Knicks but hate Marbs, Fransic, JJ, Mo, JRose, etc. it is nothing wrong with it.
I guess it is something wrong with GM and ownership.
I will still root for the team and hope these players will change their ways or be out ASAP.

You gotta chuckle when the ESCAPEGOAT as he called himself last yr, keeps talking. He's just opening his mouth wide enough to put his Starburys in it.

Seriously, our greatest assets (4 first rd draft picks) have been sunk into two players (Marbury and Curry) who are largely considered "defective", and these guys are considered our franchise guys. "Talent" and "potential" theoretically go downhill from there, and we don't know if one can physically survive an up-tempo season, or if the other one can mentally handle being coached.

And our self proclaimed "leader" is our coach/GM who is on a one year ultimatum while simultaneously fighting a legal battle, not over something that happened outside the world of basketball, but over his very managerial style in the Garden.

And yet people wonder why fans have concerns? And concerned fans are called haters, at best, or told to root for other teams? It's a funny, funny world in which we live today.

LOL At the Sig. Did Shoebury really say he has to lead in so many different directions, while the Steph apologists on this board along with Zeke said that Steph really isn't what you call a leader nor does he have to lead?

I'd rather have Arenas than Marbury. Better defender, better shooter. Just as big and fearless as Marbs going to the rim. Better leader and only 24. Although Arenas is strange along the lines of Rasheed Wallace strange, I'd trade Steph for him in a split second.

I'd rather have Chris Paul. I think he has a brighter future than Arenas.

So would I. I was just saying that because there was an Arenas-Marbury comparison earlier in the thread. Paul is probably the hands down best young PG in the league right now(because we have seen what he can do).

Arenas is a cool dude. A bit nutty, but in a cool way.

Very intense, very focused. When he gets pissed he is out to prove a point and shove it down someones throat.

Mabury has to just stop talking to the media.

I wish he would shut up too. He is just as dumb as a-rod. That's why I love jeter. Jeter always knows what to say. That's why he is the captains captain.

Speaking of which, who do the knicks have to speak up for the players that can't speak or just shouldn't speak? The best talkers have been channing, lee, Nate and craw.
hard to compare baseball and basketball but your pretty dead on here. Did you read the SI article where ARod was called out by Giambi? ARod knows ALL about how productive he's been, how many hits he has, his stats his stats his stats... its lame. Does Steph want to play "his way" or does he want to win? Francis said exactly the same crap when JVG took over. He bitched about his scoring average being down because JVG didnt want him chucking 3's. He bitched how fans came to see him play, and NOT to see JVG coach. Pop quiz... guess the one year Steve Francis made the post season, and the ONLY year he made it? YES!!!! It was under JVG.

I agree with you about A-Rod. But I hated the fact that Giambi of all people called him out. The same Giambi who admitted to steroid use. The same Giambi who also hasn't won anything with the Yanks.

Yes, he said that - look at the YouTube clip in this thead. I think he probably meant to say "in so many different ways".
