fab four = Curry, Frye, Lee, Crawford.

Crawford and Curry are the front back court anchors of the future.
Frye and Lee are the smart player in the middle.

JJ is in his first year, and marbury is the point guard.

the plan (which I always saw) was to have crawford eventually be the starting point guard.

It's basically what Isiah said when we got crawford, he'd be in a three guard rotation with houston and steph and eventually be our starting PG...not that year or next, but over the course of his (was it 7 year) contract.

if francis and marbury don't work out, one is gone, simple as that.

But like i said, i'm thinking future of the knicks, and the future is both of them gone an crawford at the point.

I never imagined the JJ2 signing, and I'm only going by what the kids here on the board say about him.

Lee, Frye and Curry are a great 3 big rotation.

I think frye is a shot blocker...trust me on that.
all kool aid all the time.

Don't give in to all the negative opinions of Steph. I think he's wanted to play like he did when he 1st got here and avg'd over 9 assists a game, before Isiah traded KVH & Doleac. I think he wants to be the way he was during the Streak, where he was constantly putting up high assist games and also scoring like he can. It's not necessarily a negative thing for him to play his game.

the entire reasoning behind Isiah's making that trade to begin with was to give Steph more athletic players that he could run with & exploit his talents even more... ironic that he'd play better when he had 2 shooters to play alongside rather than guys who could run the floor & finish.

why is Marbury constantly asking to be set free to run & gun when it seemed like he played his best basketball when he was playing a more structured, half court style pick & roll style game when he first got here?

it will be the fab four and nate being groomed to take over for starbury and francise.

I mean, I am one of the biggest optimists of the them all, but i don't believe we will be where everyone will be happy until the last year of starbury's contract, or the year after when his contract comes off the books...which coincidentally is the same year as franchise.

So, if they both stay, it's obvious because they are working out and Nate can wait, if one is only here, than it's because he is working out and Nate can wait.

But this is the second year of the fab four and I'm not that optimistic in thinking they can win it all within 3 years of being together.

Crawford is going to be the back court player getting all the minutes and marbury and francis will be splitting time IMHO.

My dream scenario is that QRich's back isn't as bad as we all know it is and he becomes the 2 next to Crawford leading the point and JJ2, Curry and frye are down low.

Nate and lee and balkman provide us depth at all three positions and we rock and roll.

I'm not against marbury and I'm not for marbury, and I believe he is the best point guard on the team.

Crawford is still a kid and was the first free agent signed, and he's only making what, $7 mill?

he can wait another year, because a three guard lineup is what isiah wanted all along.

nate is just a kid, he can wait.

WOW!!!

I don't really agree about some of the things you said but how well thought.

Whorebury and Francis splitting time to me is suicide one way or the other. It's gonna hurt the team and they are just gonna get on eachothers nerves. They'll complain in no time, and like I mentioned, drive Zeke off the wall. This is why one or even both of them absolutely have to be traded, and if both of them are traded, we got ourselves a rebuilding year, once again.

I agree, it was a good post. Analyzed the strengths and weaknesses and gave an opinion instead of telling people how positive or negative they are or tell them to stop bashing someone. I too disagree with some of it, but it was a good post. Mature post I should say.

I agree I think Steph and Stevie will get the lions share of minutes. And with this roster and THE ULTIMATUM that's just how it has to be. This backcourt will be tough to guard. That leaves 30 minutes for the rest of the backcourt. Jamal earned those minutes in my view so that leaves little for Q and nate. Ideally in my view I think Stevie should go, you start Steph and Q. This gives you a good penetrator and a good defensive player and a strong rebounder. Then you have more firepower coming off the bench with Nate and Jamal. Stevie is talented, but redundant and has a potential to create chemistry issues. He can be very valuable in bringing us a big guy if he has a good early part of the season.
