Thats really good the number one pg in the league isn't in the top 10
In all fairness, this is based on last season.

If we were to do the same thing with coaches, the #1 coach in the league wouldn't be in the top 20.

Thats fine, based on every season I would rather have

Billups, because he is going to get after on defense and makes big shots and plays that Steph can't in crunctime
Nash, because he gets everyone involved and the attitude rubs off on other players and they are unselfish
Kidd, because even on one leg he still plays better defense, and teamates respect him
Parker, because he is already a better player and gets into the paint at will
Cassel has proven time and time again that he is a winner, he won with the Rockets, Bucks, T-Wolves and the Clippers has balls which steph doesn't

Paul, because he can get a team to overachieve and is a true pg (in a hearbeat)
Arenas, he may take a lot of bad shots but his team has been in the playoffs the past two seasons

Hinrich (not even close on skill level but the guy gets after it on the defensive end and doesn't have an ego)

EGO's ruin great talent (all should be in the top 6)
Francis
Marbury
Davis

He is better than Terry, but in all fairness where do you put steph in that group

Hey MS, its obvious you have a bone to pick with Steph and thats fine. But your arguments are weak, in several respects, you simply say that x player has 1 thing that Steph doesn't and that is reason enough to want x player over Steph. I could easily make the same remarks about Steph vs. those other players. Things as spurious as Arena's team being in the playoffs. Arenas is a horrible PG. Maybe he's a great player, but a pg he is not. Personally I respect the hell out of his skills but don't like his game. Hinrich is solid, and I like him, if youd take him over Steph, thats just an emotional decision.

Tony Parker already a better player? He probably wouldn't even tell you that. He's terrified of Steph, you can see it on his face when they play. In any case, its hard to accurately gauge TP's penetration skills when he plays on the same team as one of the most dominant bigs to ever play the game. I think I'd be pretty unstoppable playing next to TD.

I absolutely love Cassell, he's like one of my favorite players in the league, but he's not better than steph, and saying he's won everywhere, doesn't change that. Gary Payton has won everywhere too, would you put him over Steph? Weak weak arguments.

You also have Nash number 1 on your list, as do most here, when he is an absolute sieve on defense. Nash shouldn't be number 1 on the list because he doesn't get after it on defense, ever. never. I've never seen him play any semblence of defense. I guess defense only matters when you're talking about Steph.

but hey, the season is right around the corner, I'm sure opinions will change when we start bustin ass!!!

I had stupid ****ing remarks like i have a bone to pick or have a problem with steph like its something personal. Fact of the matter is since he got here we have been worse every year, teamates can't get along with him and he was disliked just about every place that he went. He has some serious personal issues and character problems, and a false sense of his game....

Remarks like he is going back to being starbury, or even referring to himself as a star is laughable, he should have been able to get players more involved, that is why i have nash as the top pg in the league right now because he makes the game fun and carefree and gets everyone in the flow of the game something steph rarely does because he dominates the ball so much......

Arenas right now and over the last few years has put up better numbers and his team has won, is he a better player its up for discussion but steph has no value right now and there is a reason.

Tony Parker was scared a few years ago in the Suns playoff series but that was a long long time ago, steph doesn't really scare anyone any more.....

And if you were starting a team and with no payroll and had a choice between Hinrich and Marbury and you picked steph you don't get the concept of a team, because neither does our starting pg, now if he wants to be a human being out on the court, get people involved, not whine, not be a bitch when it matters in the clutch committing turnovers, missing free throws and defering maybe we can talk, this team should run teams off the court with there size and versatility.......and if starbury can just play ball and get people involved, francis will do the same and our bigs will get easy points and work hard on defense, if our leader does the same

I LOVED how Curry just exploded in the 4th, speaking as a fan of the Raptors, Curry looked well, scary I think is the word. Or Shaq-like Curry: 19.1ppg-7.3rpg-58%fg
