Don't be a dumbass.

I buy lots of stuff and I sure as hell don't base my decsions on what 2 guys whom I've never met and who don't review professionally say about something, do you?
Posted by BasketballJones:

We don't need no stinkin' reviews. I believe guns, and nyk4ever has confirmed it: "Marbury's Cheap-Ass Sneakers Cause Blisters." What more do you need to know?

So given the same situation and we were talking about a basketball, you would have the same reaction? Maybe I didn't like the ball becuase the grip was off and it wasn't perfectly circular, you wouldn't take my word after I attempted to use it? Or is that you are just so blindly in love with Marbury that you don't want to believe someone doesn't like his shoes.

But your right, I don't write reviews professionally so I dont know if the shoes were actually giving Guns blisters or not. Maybe they were Marbury love marks.

Give me a high-priced pair of Jordans any day over a cheap pair of gym shoes.

$99 for some Jordans? Hell yeah!

Jordan can go to hell.
I'll never trust this' team again.

I can't beleive this guy has a line of clothing-shoes called 'starbury collection'. Talk about an ego! I'm afraid starbury's learned nothing and will be a problem once again this next season. I'm sure he'll make sure he ruins the season again, since he owns the team. I hate this guy more and more.

Starbury invented inexpensive cloths. He is touting that mothers are thanking him!

Marbury is the first athlete to have world class talent and stret cred but nobody would give him any endorsements so he lends the "cool" to this low market segment and gets praise for doing somthing good. He actually might believe this is some sort of gift he is bestowing upon society.

This is a buisness, steve and barry's stores were all in place for them to shop before. The story of marbury offering his stylistic touches are newsworthy because he is such a bone head and that itself is buying them extreme free coverage.

Im not into this thing that he is helping anyone except sell more clothes. Basically what the buying public is saying that unless there is some kind of "cool" attached they won't buy inexpensive clothing!

Thats always been the case with fashion trends, but lets not paint Marburys "movement" as anything all that special.

The only thing this makes me move is my bowels!

What do I have against him? I want the genuine effort his chosen profession to be be effective on the court! Not a hobby, but the passion! Be a professional! Either win games by being a prick, or be a man and futher the effort to develope the team and be constructive!

Why can't he project "the movment" to the team and its fans who write the big check?

just bought the shoes. Came back from playing basketball with a huge blister on the back of my ankle. Hardly any cushioning, stiff plastic around the ankle. For now on I will refer to him as Blisterbury. He has to be wearing a better quality version of the shoe on the court

I bet my friends who got them had blisters when we were playing too. Thing is, almost every pair of shoes I've gotton have given me blisters the first time or 2 that I've played in them. If they keep developing however, then they are crap.

Why call him a dumbars. What is a professional reviewer anyway? Someone who makes money reviewing stuff. So if he didn't make the money he'd be the same as us except a real good writer. I don't base anything I do, in terms of movies I go to or things I buy, on what "Pro reviewers" say. It's one person's opinion in the end.

Personally, I would never buy Marbury's sneakers. First off, I don't trust what he's doing. Second off, I don't trust cheap sneakers. I am not a man who has a lot of money (Heck, I barely have any) but when it comes to sneakers, I'd take a higher quality $100 pair over a cheap to ehh decent quality $15 pair any day of the week. No desire to have foot, ankle, or back problems added to the ones I already have!

As for Marbury, if I see he's out of shape or not prepared to play bball b/c of this stuff, I hope he becomes the most hated Knick in the history of the franchise.

When they cut the shoes open and told Marbury they were the same inside as the $200 premium shoes he didn't know they were only referring to the empty space for his foot.

Me too.
with the exception of the Avia's back in High School, I swear you could go from the box to the court with those babies.

I can attest to Guns story. There was a huge blister developing on the back of his foot, where the achilles is, I think. He complained about the shoes the whole time we played.

did you soothe it for him?

You guys are little too close.

I finally got my pair, and while I'm much older than some of you appear to post, no blisters.

However, I don't go at it as much as I did back in highschool, just a gym here on the upper west side with some other oldies.
