The Knicks have went down in victories the past 3 years and Marbury has been here for each one of them. Win some freaking games.

And in those 3 years, the Knicks have been adding talent...

I do find one thing very weird. Just another observation, I don't have an opinion on this. But some people say Isiah has done a great job of adding talent to the team. Then when the losses increase year to year some of the same people say Marbs' has no talent next to him. I guess you can have it both ways.
I just hope that people will like me

Starbury is being talked about cuz he spouts off he is the man.

We just saying Katrina and his Isiah love is all used up and its just time to settle the cred thing once in for all.

Last years team was pretty decent and he did not help all that much.

He does not make the situations better, he tends to suck the life out it and make it worse.

Why do I harp on this, cuz he getting paid to be the man and says he is the man.

I don't blame him for our woes, but I don't see him in adversity taking a leadership role.

While he does not make players worse, I wonder if he does not suck the life out of them at the same time.

Win, hit clutch shots, don't fumble when game on the line, encourage, fight thru adversity, and don't be so quick to bring on an attidude when a white dude sets a good pick and you got beat buy it, just suck it up and move forward!

I Think our franchise player is a bit soft mentally actually.

NBA basketball is not a sport where you win without good players around you...You can put losing on Marbs shoulders without looking at his supporting cast but you will be just doing yourself a disservice...Maybe you don't care about that...But there are many players who has the skills to win that has not won because of not having good people around them...KG is a good example...
has KG ever had a losing season? Ever? Got any other examples? Then there's that little tidbit about every team Marbury leaves instantly gets better.

The amount of excuses generated for this guy is mind numbing. He's a productive player statistically and never shown he can lead a winning team. Maybe this year huh?

bang

well... there's the built in Larry Brown excuse. Then next year the lingering post Larry Brown effect. Then turmoil the following season from the previous season's lingering Larry Brown effect, a result of the Larry Brown excuse.

Hell... might as just use the Chewbacca defense.

Let's do this...wipe the slate clean...We are not sure what happened last season...How much the Larry saga played into the final outcome...The team does have young talent with an upside...I swear my colored shades are not on...It takes time to gel...For whatever reason it didn't happen last season...Could be Curry's heart issue or him being out of shape, Fyre hit the wall...Lee learning the game at this level, Craw finally getting his game under control, what ever it is...

No excuses this year...You won't get it from me...As far as I can see, it's Hukuna Matata at the Garden, it's a total lovefest....The talent can play as far as I can see...now let's see them play...

Just one thing tho...If Isiah some how get this same roster that Larry had to 40 victories, please admit that Larry was the reason for the 23 wins and not Marbs or Isiah or Curry or JJ....I'm laying my balls on the line that things will get turned around this year...I just hope many of you Larry lovers will do the same....

Now you are really living in a dream world holfresh. Get ready for a lot of "I never said that", or simply a lot of new tunes whistlin' while dudes pretend they never held the contrary opinion.

I find it easier to say: "I was wrong." Less tapdancing.

>>is it too much to hope that he would just shut his mouth & let his play do the talking for him for once in his life? probably.

Freedom of speech is a wonderful thing

I'm simply thankful that Marbury:

- Is not mentioned in relation to the BALCO scandal like Tom Brady

- has the humility to stay close to his Coney Island neighborhood

- removed the ear rings

- does not back down

- has not been busted with any transvestites

- MUST know that it's now or never

- will be defended by Mardy Collins in practice, because Mardy is a quick study

- gains more media experience the more he grants interviews

The core is pretty close. The new additions are JJ2, Balkman, and Collins.

Unless I am mistaken.

It's not so simple, and I'm not gonna get into another extended back and forth over it today, but Marbury threw the season under the bus as an expression of his distaste for Brown. Now he has Isiah, his mentor and father figure as coach, so of course he wont be doing the same this year. How many games of improvement does an absence of mutiny account for?

Admittedly Brown did a bad job of selling his program to the troops, but by January we had some kinks worked out and when Marbury gave effort we had chances where we had none when he didn't. Then he bumped into Sczerbz, injuring his off-arm, he came back demanding no-plays and the return of "Starbury", and gave tepid effort at best, and we were right back where we started from.

Isiah should win more games. 40 would be an accomplishment. JJ2 is a new started greater than Q2 or whoever we put at that position last year. The 2nd year guys should be better. I don't expect Steph to miss as many games as he did last year due to injury. I'm not expecting 40 wins, but we should be better.

Team wins 40 is because of:

Unseen trade
Jeffries
IF rookies contribute they are a year older and better
Curry is in shape

And the Roses and Mo T are nonfactors,

Then its not really a Larry thing. Why, natural progression!

Team sucked with Wilkens, Herb and Larry. Larry cost us 10 wins but might have progressed the rookies at the same time.

No one disputes that Larry was not bizarre last year. But the teams charactor really showed thru and made it worse. That COMBONATION was bad.

Given that, its possible for Isiah to build on it because it happened. Now if there is a revolt on Isiah then we got some real serious issues with team charactor and might be best to just cut the fuel line on the jet and start fresh.

If the team falters nobody is gonna point to Larry and say it was not him, and bash Isiahs coaching. Isiah the GM will get bashed.

Regarding KG, he seems to get a free ride for some reason but he is not money at games end and he does not know when to defer to his teammates, and when to take it over. KG does not play in NYC either! They are just so afraid of losing him also!

ITs not just marbury, there are others. But this guy got so much talent its frustrating to knick fans that we finally get this guy and he did not grow into the role. Sneakers, $500k to Katrina Victims, and free haircuts does not make him a better player. Better citizen, but not a better player.

you forgot to add these:

- hasn't kidnapped or murdered anyone to our general knowledge

- is not a cross dresser (to our general knowledge)

- has never tried out for the nathan's hotdog eating contest

- can dribble a ball with 1 hand while popping his collar with the other

- doesn't have cornrows

yes, Marbuy deserves lots of props for all that stuff, i agree.
