Now you just talking crazy

>>Bonzi, Balkman, and Lee(who at least has developed an offensive game) are similiar players in what they bring to the table

Bonzi is an obsolete, undersized, small forward with baggage

Balkman is a budding track man who can play three positions

Lee is a power forward with decent instincts for the ball

similar?

C'mon

Bippity - visualize a motivated Jerome James as your banger

I was actually visualizing someone I didn't have to worry about whether they would have to be motivated or not.
I just hope that people will like me

JoeC - if you wanna play hindsight GM it is your choice.

PJ Tucker? Who's he?

Isn't that what we are ALL doing earl, playing hindsight GM? How is it playing hindisght when I say I would have rather had this player-a player I liked a month before the draft? Maybe Martin should post a warning saying noone can criticize roster moves? That is ridiculous.

PJ Tucker is from Texas.....here...

6-5, 225 averaged, 34 minutes, 16.5 pts, 9.5 rebs., 3 assists, shot 51% from the field, 74% from the line, and is a very good defender.

Scouting Report: An interior player at 6-5 ... Great leaper and has a physical mentality ... Can score points and grab caroms in traffic ... One of the best offensive rebounders in the nation ... Plays with tremendous intensity ... Draws frequent trips to the charity stripe with his hustle ... A solid ball-handler but a poor shooter for his size ... Plays both the 3 and the 4, but he is does not truly fit into either one of those positions ... Stepped onto campus and immediately had an impact ... The question is, will he get better ... Game projects poorly to the NBA right now, but scouts love the fact that he is a warrior.

Compare that to Balkman-
6-8, 208, averaged, 26 minutes, 9.6 pts, 6.3 rebs., 2 assists, shot 61% from the field, 54% from the line
6-5, 225, averaged, 34 minutes, 16.5 pts, 9.5 rebs., 3 assists, shot 51% from the field, 74% from the line

Nope. I'm playing FOREsight.

PJ Tucker?

>Plays both the 3 and the 4, but he is does not truly fit into either one of those positions

6'5 also makes PJ a defensive liablity matching up in the much taller NBA. He sounds like a two guard.

Is he better than Jamal Crawford?

It's a decent signing. But his contract is too long.

There is NOTHING wrong with what Isiah has done with this roster over the last 2 years. Every move hasn't been perfect, but overall he's been VERY GOOD.

Last summer we need size and he got us Curry, Frye, Lee and james!!! Rank on James all you like, but he's a big body and we didn't have anyone like that. Now he's marginalized so that he can't hurt us. He's 6 fouls that can be used to help deal with a guy like Shaq. He got read the riot act and will likely come in to camp in better shape.

This year we needed defenders and Isiah got us that. We really don't have many weaknesses now. Sure we don't have a PURE deep shooter, but the guys we have aren't slouches either. Jamal and Nate can hit from deep and WILL provide that this year. If QRich can stay healthy he also can hit some shots. With our new offense we won't have to be a great perimeter team just decent and I think Steph and Francis will be more relaxed when they haven't been told NOT to shoot the 3.

But that's OK, some of you guys keep doubting this team, cuz you're gonna be in for a shock this year. Wait until you see Steph and Francis playing loose and doing what they do best. We're talking about guys who can play at an All Star level when they're not being held back. Contrary to what some may think there will be plenty of shots to go around, since this team won't be looking to slow it down and limit possessions like LB wanted. We'll be looking to keep the tempo high and increase the number of possessions a game. Last year showed one thing and that was this team plays better at a higher tempo. 15 of the 23 wins came when we hit 100 pts. Now this doesn't mean we're gonna play careless ball with no defense so don't go starting that crap either.

We'll just try to win games a different way than LB wanted. LB is a HORRIBLE offensive coach and if he can't have a team that defends at a high level he can't win. That's not the case for every coach. Mike D'Antoni is one guy who does it a bit different. Sure they play D, but its their offense that is the strength of the team. If Amare and KT were healthy they might have made it to the Finals with that style and bit better D. We will be a similar team tho with a different offensive style. We'll play D, but our offense will be our biggest weapon.

I think this is definitely good news. It doesnt hurt the team, it imporves defense, gets us more length in the frontcourt, and keeps us young.

Not every move has been perfect, but this one definitely seems like a good catch.

Silly dudes.

Shorten the contract and he stays a Wizard.

Ever think of that possibility?

I sht myself on this one...

At 6 feet 11 inches and 240 pounds, Jeffries is a long, lithe defender who can play shooting guard and both forward slots. In a pinch, he can even defend some centers. Last season, he guarded the Lakers’ Kobe Bryant (6-6), the Timberwolves’ Kevin Garnett (6-11) and the Rockets’ Yao Ming (7-6).

Please

I said he would make more sense because he comes closest to offering the versatility we need. Let's take a look at a little comparison:

Jones- Last season- 27.5 minutes, 10.5 pts, 5.0 rebs, .89 stls, 40.0% from the field, 34% from 3, 74% from the line
Career - 21.0 minutes, 7.3 pts, 4.3 rebs, .67 stls, 42.7% from the field, 35% from 3, 70% from the line

JJ - Last season- 25.3 minutes, 6.4 pts, 5.0 rebs. .75 stls, 45.0% from the field, 32% from 3, 59% from the line
Career - 24.1 minutes, 6.1 pts, 4.8 rebs, .70 stls, 43.2% from the field, 29% from 3, 59% from the line

Jones is 27, JJ is 24.

Duh. The point is that because almost every player on the roster is vastly overpaid (and because first round picks are owed as the result of bad trades) it's virtually impossible for any Knick GM to add a superstar to this group either through free agency or the draft.

I would like to see the Knicks win another championship before I die. It's been 33 years. If it takes another 33 years, it's not going to happen.

Both are better than Jeffries, and more importantly, there is no salary cap in MLB.

"He helps them with size and athleticism," one opposing team exec offered of Jeffries. "If they keep their rotation the same and everyone is determined to make Larry (Brown) look bad, they'll have a successful season."
