His defense abilities have to be the most overrated in the league. And to think that his average defense can compensate his atrocious shooting and his totally ineffective offensive game is not right to me. I would like to trade him, but hey, I'm not mad if he stays. What I can't understand is that some of you liked what you saw of him last year. Judging him just by his performance, if he was not the worst starting SG in the league he wasn't far at all.
I admit that, even if I had never liked him ver much, two years ago he was a very interesting player. But I think that playing for Phoenix has destroy his game almost definately. To me last year he was almost the worst player of our entire roster and by far the most disappointing one... because I knew Jerome was that bad, .

Well said. He was a huge disappointment for me too. I expected MUCH better.
And agreed about his defense. It was ah-ight at best. His offense was atrocious.

His stats were better than those of Jerome James, Malik Rose, David Lee, Jackie Butler, Maurice Taylor and Qyntel Woods. They were very similar to those of Francis and Robinson. He was fourth on the team in rebounding and fifth in steals, while averaging second-fewest turnovers. He played with more heart than most of the team, is tougher than most of the team, and has shown signs of leadership. He never whined or cried about Larry Brown. He did all this during one of the worst years of his career and certainly a tough year personally. And during his last year on the Clips he put up numbers like 17, 6 and 2. Then he got thrown into Phoenix's system (and still did a damn good job with the transition) and then there was last year.

Tim Thiomas can give you about 30 million reasons why getting Thrown into the Phoeanix system isn't a bad thing.

Kind of heard to bitch and whine when your putting 8pts per and shooting 35% from the feild.

He had some good yrs with the Clips before the injury, now he's a shell of himself.

I agree with that statement. But it should also be tough to bitch and whine and complain when you win 23 games but our guys found a way to do it. So if a guy puts up bad stats he needs to shut up but when a team loses every game regardless of their numbers it's fine to complain. I don't agree with this.

Never said it was okay. Reread my post. I was strictly making a point about Qrich, nothing more nothing less.

I was typing quickly, I know your posts by now and know your way of thinking. I wasn't really talking to anyone in particular I was just babbling at the mouth, which I tend to do. But I do agree with you, Q really couldn't say much. With his numbers he better keep his mouth shut.
I just hope that people will like me

The problem with Q is that he really never wanted to get traded from the Suns. He wanted to make it a go and knew that the Suns were going to win games. It was that kind of think and never accepting the trade that did him in the early part of the season. Compunded with his brother passing away must have been devastating for him. Adding Jalen threw him another blow. I don't think that it helps his back any being in a half court set and asking him to post up. I think he much rather do what he did in Pheonix and run up and down the court throwing up threes.

He only made 35% of those threes while in Phoenix. He also managed to jack up 631 atempts from the three-point land while with the Suns

He only took 439 shots total in a Knick uni. No way does he get as many chances to miss here as he did in the valley of the Sun.

"Man, who knows with this team." Aguirre.

Now you know why he never wanted to be a Knick. He went from a system with a green light to a system with a yellow light. Do you speed up and make the yellow light or do you slow down and wait for the red. 631 3 point attempts is no joke.

I agree that Q is not a lockdown defender, but he showed last year that for the most part, he could guard his own man at a decent level, which is more than some other Knicks have shown. His offense obviously needs work. But I think if he cuts down on the threes and takes the ball inside more, he can improve his FG% and his overall effectiveness. With him, I really think its going to come down to whether his back allows him to play at the level he is capable of. If the back is okay, I think we have a decent shooting guard/small forward (not an all-star, but a solid player that will benefit the team). If not, then he is probably going to keep shooting threes and missing them and lose any effectiveness he might have for the team (other than as being a spot defender).
