4949, what is racist (I believe that prejudiced is the correct word) about the heading? It really has nothing to do with Mexicans, and is not derogatory towards them, if anything the term "Mexican" is a compliment.

The operative is "can": American or American't, Dominican or Dominican't, etc.

I don't see anything racist or prejudiced about it. It's just a joke that uses a play on words, really it has nothing to do with a country, culture, ethnicity, or race.

1. nixluva - EFFORT will be the biggest thing to improve this year. The players will be FAR more confident in what they're doing on BOTH sides of the floor. NO more changing plays all the time, lineups, roles etc. Barring any really unfortunate injury.

We should see a more conhesive team and one that plays with a clear sense of purpose from 1-12. I can't wait to see this team really play like a pro team for a change.

That is by far the stupidest reasoning I have ever seen. Some people are realistic while others live in dreamland. Thats what it comes down too. Just because some people are realistic does NOT make you any less of fan than anyone else.

arkrud - Dolan is an owner with a suspect resume. It IS his chedda. He cares about Cablevisons bottom line because daddy is watching. The bottom line depends on making the playoffs. Its that simple.

Isiah Thomas is doing the best job he knows how to hold on to his job. He has made the team younger, deeper and is changing the "rent a player" culture of the franchise for the better.

What reason does he have to "screw" the team?

holfresh - the Knicks are a diversion from the pain and suffering in the news. If I can't go into a new season with any hope, what's the point of sitting around bitching and moaning?

NO ONE knows what will happer this season.

Misterearl, don't sweat it, you are expending too much energy trying to bring those back that has crossed over...I had a back and forth about this very thing with Codeunknown...He was convinced that those currently rooting for failure would be back on board once the season starts..I'm not convinced of that...There are those who took sides with the Larry versus Isiah and the Knicks squabble that will be happy only when the Knicks end up in last place again...They are blind to the positives that Isiah has brought here and only highlights the mistakes...We all know it wasn't going to be a smooth ride..Every GM make mistakes..It takes time to build a winning situation...I also think there are those of are afraid he will succeed, after all, the Knicks do have talent on paper...So, don't fret it, keep the love flowing and hopefully we will all be on the same page when the refs blow the opening whistle early November...I'm not holding my breath though....

I can't put stock in the perpetual crybabies who speak as if they KNOW what the upcoming season will bring. They have no more sense of reality than Miss Cleo.


They would rather mimick the press as the people who boo ARod while he struggles. They enjoy kicking people when they are down.

They are sorry excuses for fans.

Others have no sense of history. They would rather throw rocks at Isiah for "ruining" the franchise instead of thinking a moment OR pointing a finger at Checketts for firing one of the best GMs in Knicks history - Ernie Grunfeld.

Its amusing how awkwardly defend their positions.
