Why not buy-out Taylor or Rose to create 2 roster spots. You can sign Woods and still have another spot available.

We have Channing Frye and heck, Mo Taylor who is a better player than Miller (Which doesn't really say much) he's not a shotblocker either. Why waste a good roster spot on someone like that when you can just go after Woods or Ariza who are both much better players. Miller hasn't played as good as some of you think.

Woods, agreed. But Ariza is garbage.

Ohh b/c that simply isn't happening and buying out one of those guys actually makes sense, but Isiah doesn't do things that makes sense, remember?

Miller's like a less athletic Frye (who's a more athletic, less defensive Doleac). As far as values go, Miller'll come at the league minimum. But then again, this is Isiah Thomas-- who cares about value when you can get the same thing for a few million more, right?

This is a VERY good question.
They are both such HUGE a waste of Roster space.
The only good reason to keep either would be for a trade.
As long as the incoming contract runs no longer than 3 years I am cool with that.
But if these guys take playing time away from our Core and end up not netting us any real assets... it would have been folly not to cut them.

I am up for malik rose being cut - taylor they might want to use (hopefully not) for an expiring contract type deal, but rose has two more years left - unless they can trade him for someone with the same legnth contract and get a pick back since he's a vet and stuff (maybe dallas or the lakers would be interested in him)

At least invite Miller to training camp. He shot over 50% from the field and has the thing you cannot teach... size.

If he can be inspired to be more aggressive on the boards, the Knicks COULD have another bargain at a bargain.

Kenny Adekele and Franko Kastropil played decent in spot duty.

Can you say NBDL?

Wow, Ariza is garbage. I guess anyone Isiah trades away must be garbage. It's sad that people have to knock Ariza down just to justify the Balkman pick. Correction: Hilarious. The word "tool" comes to mind. :)

gimme Butler.

honestly, if Isiah doesn't match on Butler, I'm guessing Dolan has tightened his purse farther than we've been led to believe.

This seems to be the case, but you and I both know Isiah will take the heat for this transaction.

I think some of you guys are just not paying attention. Isiah has an offensive scheme that he knows will require certain types of players and he may want a guy like Miller who can actually play in this offense because he's a threat to hit a shot or roll to the basket. Isiah wants well rounded guys who can do different things on the court to keep the offense flowing. Jackie is a very nice player, but perhaps too pricey now. We can get a guy who really fits the style of play we're going to have this year.

Not from what I remember when he was drafted and through his first season. During the second season yes, some got down on him. Then he was traded, and some said he wasn't all that great. Now we draft Balkman and Ariza is garbage. We also have Curry, so therefore Tim Duncan is garbage.

The sad thing is the Knicks would probably make a trade for Baron Davis and get Smush Parker.

We would win a title without a doubt

at the Rucker Tournament!

Maybe the more guys we get that don't play defense, teams will feel sorry for us and not try as hard
