Glad to see us dominating something. I'm hoping for good things from last year's class this season. I still think Balkman plays sparse minutes and Collins might not play at all. Our team is very overstocked at a lot of positions, and with a 9 man rotation, it'll be tough for everyone to get minutes. We'll see how it goes. After maybe 20 regular season games, we can start to get an indication of how this is going to work.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

yeah, listening to isiah

sidebar: that was pretty cool when he says "they should get a layup here" and voila, they got an easy layup, to me that's a true sign of a coach, I mean from the stands during an interview, everyone is on the same page with this offense.

It seems as though the back court will be
nate, marbury, franchise and I think mardy collins (he's the tallest of the three)
at the 3 he says it's Q and Jrose and mardy will be pushing them for minutes.
and down low it's a 3 man rotation of lee, curry and frye.

I think anybody not under contract is gone (qwoods and butler, adios)
and the two players we picked up in zeke's first year MoT and MRose have no place in this offense.

I wouldn't mind seeing miller out there, as the announcers said, he does remind me of doleac and he can play in the structured offense put together by zeke. Also, he usually hits the outside jumper.

But 10 man rotation is set:
marbury, franchise, nate, jrose, qrich, lee, curry, frye, mardy and Balkman.

everyone else is adios, or just keeping positions filled until mardy and balkman round into NBA form.
all kool aid all the time.

What about Craw? JJ? Jackie Butler (if we match)? There's not enough minutes for everyone, and I think Collins (and possibly even Balkman) are the odd man/men out.

great, forgot craw, everyone else is gone. Collins and balkman are deep in their starting lineups...it's early morning and I was typing fast...now I remember what he was saying:
Guards: marbury, franchise, crawford and nate
SF: jrose, qrich
Bigs: lee, curry, frye, JJ/MoT/MRose [whoever wins]

I don't think they are going to match butler.

I think the JJ/MoT/MRose trifecta could morph into Balkman getting more minutes and mardy collins showing steady progress and filling in situationally.

But yes, it makes sense that the 2 rooks become the odd men out.

The trifecta all have questions.
On the surface you figure MRose has the edge because of his scrappyness, but MoT and JJ have even odds on coming into camp in shape.

I think Zeke is looking to redeem himself with the JJ reclamation project and he's a shot blocker, so look for JJ to see significant time should he come into camp in shape.

One thing is that he has never said Malik Rose or MoT's names the entire off season. So I think they are gone.

I'm of the opionion that we will see balkman against the other teams talented 3's.

Expect Paul Pierce, Kobe, Micheal Redd and their ilk to see a heavy dose of balkman.

Lee played well and showed improvment. Thats a definate positive. Nate learned ZERO PG skills, thats a negative and Frye got abused by a one legged Amare. Those are the only things I was curious to see. The rest is doodoo

Nate once or twice made the right pass...He looked better than I though, and he played mostly at SG...I can't get how Amare took Frye behind the tool shed out of my mind...After the first game, Lee was the only true bright spot.
I said PG skills. Hell, Oakley was a good passer. Thats a fundamental skill of playing basketball.

Nate played like a volume shooter.

Lee got bigger and looked pretty good in the post.

Frye wasnt injured during the Suns game, he just wasnt effective.

John Wallace- you make some interesting points. However, I believe it was Phil Jackson that said the triangle is most affective with a legit center. Shaq thrived in it and we all know his game is about a foot away from the rim. Curry should get nice opportunities in the paint.

I've heard that Jackson quote, but I never really noticed the Lakers really running the offense. Shaq never got the ball on the high post. They just ran the same Shaq offense that they ran in Orlando, post, repost, post again, Kobe gets sick of it and takes over.

What I saw the Knicks doing looked much more dynamic. The only thing I can think of in the NBA that looks similar is the Nets Princeton offense.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)
