The Knicks have too many players that need or warrant PT. While I'd like to keep Jackie, it might be better for everyone (especially Jackie) if he joined the Spurs.

i hope he stays as well....but when they asked him if they would keep him he avoided to say yes....he dodged it saying he would look at their options and then he went on to say that he had other players he liked. Usually if there is somebody you plan on keeping you would flat out say it.

This is the exact same feeling I got from Isiah. Or manybe he is just pissed that they can't sign two players instead of one with MLE!

Hmm, so we fired Brown cause we did not want to get him the guys he supposedly wanted, and now we are rumored to get those guys anyways?

So if we trade for KMart, can we somehow blaim it on Brown? Will he keep makin our trades even when he is not the GM, oops, I mean the coach.

OK, go IT, you are the man, cap us out untill your death.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

I'm not trying to keep Brown in this discussion in ANY fashion but it is kinda funny that Isiah is going after Kenyon now. That's all, nothing more nothing less. Just kinda funny.

I think Kmart is an Isiah kind of player. Tough nose kid, whose athletic and can run if his knee is okay. I can see why Isiah would want him.

Not a Brown discussion, but I am noticing an alarming trend with Isiah. First-the Steph trade-which was a good trade-that Layden worked on but Dolan wouldn't allow him to make because he already fed him up with his bad money decisions. Zeke took that trade right out of Layden's notebook.

Zeke is then left on his own and makes one questionable move after the other.

Now LB picked out what this team needed(Defense, pass first PG, rebounding). He gets fired, and Isiah goes in the exact direction Larry pointed him in...Collins(who LB said was the best PG prospect in the draft, Balkman who Larry is quoted as saying "I love that kid"-I already posted a source to this in another; google the phrase, LB, and Balkman to find it-and now is talking about KMart-whom Larry wanted-but Zeke doesn't want to give up expirings or take on major money(an edict from Dolan?)

C'mon. LB says "winning teams play defense" and every time the Knicks decide to play defense from here on out, they are using LB's playbook. IT IS A FUNDAMENTAL ASPECT OF THE GAME. Even so, the more fluid offense IT is working on seems to be the dominant strategy combined with a high energy defense.

You know I gonna spin wit it

Id take Wilcox in a S+T for francis oh in about 1 second

Francis makes 15 mil, how exactly do you plan on making that work? Anybody on our team would do it.

Steve Francis, Nate Robinson, and a resigned Jackie Butler

for

Rashard Lewis, and a resigned Chris Wilcox.

Our lineup is

Steph/ Craw/
Q/Jalen
R. Lewis/Lee/Balkman
Frye/ Wilcox
Curry/James

I think Briggs was talking about a S&T for Wilcox who is probably going to get near max money.

Why on earth would SEA do that deal? They'd be better off letting Wilcox walk than taking back Francis!

I wish that we could have drafted Williams instead of Marty Collins just so we could package him with one of the players we don't need to dump some of these losers. Marcus Williams and JJ for a random backup center with an expiring contract and a pick would have been nice. When you look at how many players on this team will demand minutes its not going to be easy for I.T. I feel like Rose, Rose, Marty, and Mo Taylor will never play.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

It's not starting a debate, it's stating the obvious. Ignoring the fact that this is the second time in a row Zeke s taking someone else's game plan (someone who was fired whom he is replacing) and executing it.

The funny thing is not that Zeke is acquiring defensive players--you're right, everyone needs/has them. The funny part is that Zeke is acquiring/trying to acquire the exact defensive players Larry wanted and he couldn't acquire (KMart), or guys that Larry has mentioned by name that he loves (the draft of Balkman and Collins).

Isiah is not idiot. Anyone could look at this team last year and tell they needed a few role players. Didn't need Larry Brown to point that out. You cant put together a complete team in a year. It takes time.

if dumping players was the mindset Isiah was operating on, he would have made a deal prior to the draft using the 2 picks he had to begin with... it didn't happen... he clearly believes he can win with the team he put together, or Dolan believes he can... drafting a guy just to trade him wasn't in Isiah's plans to begin with.

Bro...Isiah has had 3 years. When he first got here he tried the half court thing with Steph and KVH. Then he brought in Nazr and TT to run. Then brought in Crawford who is more of a half court-break your man down guy. Then he brought in Mo Taylor and Malik Rose who are half court guys. Then he brings in Q who is a run guy. JJ who is a half court guy. Drafts Frye, Lee, Nate who are run guys. Brings in Curry who is a half court guy. Brings in Jalen who is a half court guy. Brings in Francis who is a run guy. Drafts Balkman who is a run guy. Drafts Collins who is a half court guy. Is now chasing Kenyon Martin who is a run guy.

Bro Isiah has had more than enough chances in his 3 years here.

This is not even counting the coaches he had in-Chaney was a half court guy. Lenny was a little more of a loosen the reigns guy. Herb was a half court guy. Larry was a half court guy. Now Isiah is a run guy.

To me it seems he had changed his plan multiple times in his 3 YEARS here. First it was youth. Then he traded picks for veterans. Then he traded youth for veterans. Then he traded veterans for youth. All in 3 YEARS.

Did I mention he has been here 3 years and we have gotten worse each successive year for 3 years?
