It will be a miracle if Isiah can get Marbury and rest of the vets not to break plays all time and to learn how to cut to the basket. It will be interesting if this team finally gets back on defense and overcomes how to score against a zone defense. Sometimes I wonder why team don't play zone on us for the entire game, because the vets don't have a clue.

I read somwhere that Isiah was going to use a combination of the Princeton offense, the triangle, and someting else I forget. I can see the Princeton now but not so much the triangle. Maybe that's where Curry and Steph/Francis will fit in?

Princeton, UCLA and Phoenix style mix.

It's actually the UCLA shuffle cut high post offense, Bob Knights passing and Tex Winter's triangle offense....A mix of those...

Yeah I was going to post that, no phoenix style...Isiah wants to attack and puh the ball. If that isn't there then he will run his half court.

Hope we see alot of the UCLA back picks too.......... I love those.

I actually saw a couple of those with Balkman getting an easy layup during the Detroit summer league game...Saw the Bobby Knight passing where the ball never touch the ground and ended in a layup...Good Stuff...By the way Balkman's defense has been impressive, play Artest well and had a lock on Martin late in the game, Martin may have been tired as well but Balkman was definately a factor...This kid could be a more physical Bowen type and more athletic...I hate comparing rooks to proven players, but I just like the D...I just wish Lee was just as resolved about his defense, that would make him a special player but he is young still..Lee has all the tools to be a great defender at the 4..He has the speed, just needs the bulk and the mental toughness....I like the direction of the draft by Isiah the last 2 years...Impressed so far..

Come on, do you really think that Steph or Francis will have a problem with a free flowing offense, that allows a player to attack when he's open? Its a LOCK that these guys will grasp this offfense, cuz its more natural to them and their game which relies a lot on quick instincts. They see the opening and exploit it. Steph and Francis are All Star level players! They didn't just fall off a bus into this league. ANY offense that allows them to be creative and aggressive will work. Just don't ask them to be Stockton out there. The openings are created by the player movement and just about anyone can make the simple passes to the cutter when open. Its certainly not going to be hard for Steph or Francis to do that. OR do you actually think that any of the guys playing on this summer league team are better passers and decision makers than Steph? The only guy who even approached his level on this team was Jamal and that was for like a month.

Only problem is that Marbury refused to run D'Antoni's offense that Phoenix now employs which is the reason why he was traded away from the Suns. I don't think its a lock for Marbury to want to play this offense, although one would think that Isiah wouldn't do it if he didn't think Marbury wasn't onboard. I can only go on what I've seen in the past right now and in the past Marbury wouldn't run this type of offense.

I have alot of problems with this type of offense becuase it often means that there will be absolutely ZERO defense played and you can't win a championship without playing defense. If Isiah can get the team playing hard on both ends, I think this thing will work but I think thats a big IF.

the only time well see the phoenix offense if when the bench is on the floor. nate, crawford, balkman, francis, lee & frye. Marbury will never run the way Nash does. Isiah/Aguirre preach defense so we'll see how they respond. I can't remember the last time the Knicks had a team that moved the ball around consistently as opposed to giving Marbury or Houston the ball and clearing out. should be fun..still think Francis will screw it up though. Got to get him the hell out of here ASAP

You know what? I would rather we trade Blubbury now and roll the dice with Stevie. At least, Francis rebounds.

eh PG's rebounding is overrated. Marbury is a much better player. Francis wants to be the star of the team. He wants to be the entire of offense. Marbury at least is unselfish. Stupid as a rock but he tries to get others involved
