From my opinion, this is one helluva unique basketball player and Ive seen him play 80 times. Hes better than gay Villenueva Armstrong wait until he gets his nBA chance. I wouldve taken him with pick 3, let alone pick 20.

I guess that would make you either the biggest bafoon in GM history or a genius but baised on the fact your NOT A GM, not even for the 7-12 year olds in the your local church league..........well, your not a genius !!!
Isiah Thomas will lead us back to the playoffs in 2006 !!!

marcus williams is a hell of a player, we could of had him at 20 and balkman at 29. End of story.... why we didn't do this is beyond reasoning to me... If anything letting the nets get their hands on this kid when we could of prevented it is just criminal, if you ask me...

no question the guy is gonna play with a chip on his shoulder. time will only tell. that is one impressive line he had...but it is only summer league....so dont get too worked up just yet Briggs. But I wish he didnt put up those kind of numbers

Travis Outlaw dominated Summer League last year. He may have the talent to dominate the NBA, but so far he hasn't. The Nets aren't going to cut Kidd's minutes to allow Marcus to play a lot, so, he will not have an opportunity to dominate the NBA for several years. As such, let him have his kicks in Summer League, when the season comes around, he will spend a lot of time in Pine Country.

Ahhh... Pine Country!

he was overweight but reports from Draftexpress had him playing VERY well.

But that's still like showing up to a job interview in a pair of Bermuda shorts and a Hawaiian shirt, it's the principle of it.

Much has been made about Williams’ conditioning recently, or lack thereof rather, but this was not something that we would have even thought twice about when watching this workout had it not been brought up before. He probably isn’t in the shape of his life, but is in no means fat or out of shape the way he’s been portrayed to be. So much of his game relies on his strength and basketball IQ that he’s been accustomed to not having to be in phenomenal shape, but this is something that will obviously change once he reaches the NBA. What is scary is how easily he gets by players in the shape he is currently in, making you wonder just how lethal he will be once he indeed reaches his full potential as an athlete. Williams told us he is 214 pounds at the moment, not the 220 that is being reported elsewhere.

If Marcdy Collins or Blakman dominated a game like that, he would be the basketball Jesus coming down to Earth --if its the player we shouldve taken--its only numbers

lets face it, we absolutely train wrecked this draft.

The double standard is outrageous. People will defend Isiah to the death. So far, those people usually wind up being wrong, in the long run.

Anyway, Williams looks like quite a player. This only further reinforces the claim. What the hell were we doing taking Balkman at #20.

Jeez. He was picked at 22 not 2. If it's a failure not to draft him, it extends to many teams.

Why does that excuse US? I don't care about other teams. They passed him up but most made pretty reasonable selections. We passed him up and we didn't. Regardless of other teams, anyway, we ****ed up.

That's like saying that it's okay to suck because Portland sucks too.

It's about viewing the issue in the appropriate context.

It's not like Isiah was out on an island with his view on MW, and it's also true that one SL game, good or bad, proves nothing.
