i agree w/u about Lee... i prefer him at the 4, but Frye has to show me he can guard NBA centers before i entrust him to be our starting 5 (though Curry doesn't really guard NBA C's either at this point).

also agree w/u about our need for a shotblocker... how about a Curry for Dampier trade? or even more ironic would be Curry back to the Bulls for Tyson Chandler.

maybe you were on vacation but tyson chandler is traded to the NO Hornets. Dampier flatly scks

but i certainly would trade curry for this shot blocker

yep, i wasn't in touch w/the latest... didn't know Chandler's been traded.

oh, & sorry, i meant to say Dalembert, not Dampier.

Some really good points on either side of the argument. If Isiah plains on going with Marbury (pg) Francis (2g) JRose (sf) and Curry (c) then Lee probably would work better with that lineup.

However, theres something to be said for the fact that Frye was the 7th pick in the draft, and was called by Isiah the future of the organization along with Curry. Rightly or wrongly, those reasons along with many others may and will factor into Fryes probablility of starting at PF.

Thats the way I feel as well. Lee works really well with that lineup becuase they already have enough scoring and they are lacking rebounding and defense and those are both 2 things that Lee can do. I also think since Frye played well with Crawford that Isiah should keep that and since Crawford is going to be coming off the bench then so should Frye.

Craw/Nate/Balkman/Frye/Butler(maybe)? That's not a bad 2nd unit, very talented and Frye can be a major use there.

Thats a heck of a second unit. But do you really think Isiah would put Frye (the future of the organization, 7th pick in the draft, and rookie of the month winner on the bench?)

Craw also worked very well with Curry, hooking up for countless backdoor lobs.

It takes time for rookies to come and play NBA defence and rebounding, this can be taught. I'll say it again Dirk averaged about the same in rebounds like Fyre in first couple of years in the league. He is way better now, with Fyre work ethic which unquestioned, he'll be ok. He just need the time, the same goes for Lee. So spot tearing down our players and support them.

Thats my problem. Isiah is too concerned with his ego then really whats best for the team. Hey, I may be wrong but I think David Lee works better in the starting lineup and has earned it. Just becuase Channing was picked 7th doesnt mean he deserves it. If Channing improves his defense and rebounding during the season then by all means start him, but don't start him just becuase you took him 7th.
