I think that the trade is terrible for the Raptors and so far their gm has not been impressive, i hate the raso deal that made no sense, the guy can't even play....

And charlie was for to versatile to give up for an undersized often injured point guard...Villenueva and bosh are very different players and i think they should have played bosh at the 5 and charlie at the four......

I like Randy Foye alot more than I like Ford, he gets by people and having wings to dish the ball to would have really benefited Foyes development as a pg.......big for small never works unless the small is an all-star.....

Charlies range and ability to run the floor is just want the league is looking for........

Not that Magloire is a great player but i bet we could have moved marcus williams for him....I would have liked Isiah to try to maybe move a resigned Butler and Crawford for Charlie....him and Frye could really stretch the defense......

i like tj ford. i think he's a nice pg that needs to learn to pick his spots to score since he doesn't shoot a high %.

i think charlie is a nice player but i like tj better for toronto. b-ninny is going to start at 3, bosh at 4. he'll rack up a bunch of assists.

b-ninny
huh?

If TJ Ford can stay healthy, I like this trade for Toronto. That seems like a big risk though. They should have at least gotten a lottery protected 1st rd pick to offset that risk.

really, I'd think that going by Colangelo's style they'd start Bargnani at the 4, Bosh at the 5 and Graham at the 3. They gonna start Rasho at the 5? Isn't Bargnani going to get killed at the 3?

also, for those who follow Toronto, are they going to bring in a new coach to replace Mitchell? have they already? just curious.

They're probably gonna start Mo Pete at SF not Graham. Mo is a very solid player. He can give you about 14 PPG and play excellent defense.
I think they're sticking with Sam as coach, for now at least.

they're going to give mitchell the season.

they'll use that smaller lineup at times next season. rasho is a pure stop gap. instead of committing 5 years to pryz or trading for a guy like chandler, they have rasho for 3 years (which i don't like). i'm guessing they're going to let tj, bargnani, graham, and bosh for the next 2 years and then trade rasho's expiring for someone.

they can still get someone back via a S&T for mike james or sign someone via free agency.

a possibility could be peja.

Exactly. They used up $8 mil per for 3 years of valuable cap space. That might be the going rate for 7 footers, but you don't need a 7 footer anyway. Colangelo of all people should know that since he assembled 55 win teams with no one above 6'9"!

...don't forget tim thomas. he's a hulking 6'10" beast... at least he was for PHX.

yeah, I would think Colangelo would want to bring in his own coach (maybe even a Euro coach) to play a more up tempo, open court game and go "small" with the 6'11" Bosh at center and the 7'1" Bargnani at PF. it's not a banging lineup, but with zone rules and a fast-break PG, it could work.
